Check this by looking at the end of the clutch slave cylinder piston rod that fits into the clutch throw out arm. If it is threaded and lock nutted it will be adjustable but if there is no thread then it will not adjustable. Another way is to see if there is a return spring on the throw out arm back onto the clutch slave cylinder

SOURCE: 89 Dodge Ram oil pan requires replacement

Easiest way is to pull the motor out and replace it. You may gain enough room by removing both motor mounts and jacking the front of the motor up. This may give you enough room to clear the crossmember.

the loss of power I was experiencing was because the secondary was not working. The vacuum was not strong enough to open the secondary.
I found a stronger vacuum and hooked it up there. Still need to fine tune the adjustments on the Carb. Have twice the power I had but still need adjusting.

How can u tell if your flywheel is going bad on 89 dodge ram 50

The flywheel is a flat cut flywheel and can be cut too thin. If it has a cable they can stretch out. If it is hydraulic clutch make sure that there is no air in the lines then adjust the rod giong from the clutch master to the pedal. Rod should be solid but not tight.

well, i assume you did a compression check and have the plugs gapped properly? Okay then, this might not be what you want to hear but, disconnect the fuel lines, install a low pressure electric fuel pump(between 3 and 10 psi one) and install a variable pressure regulator, set it at 4psi and drive the truck. still need more power move to 5psi, adjust untill your happy.
