SOURCE: 2001 Buick Regal LS windshield washer fluid does not spray

There are a number of different issues that could cause this.

-The circuit for the wiper should be the same as the washer; same fuse. -I'd suggest trying to run the washer while the hood is open and the engine off. If it runs, you should hear a dull whine.(a 2nd person might be of use to help look and listen)...(find the pump by following the hoses from the wipers to a unit mounted close to the dashboard in the engine compartment)
-If it runs, check to see if any fluid is coming from a hose that might have become disconnected.
-If the pump runs, and if you see no fluid coming from anywhere, and if you can reach the hose connected to the washer pump, pull that hose off the pump. Try running the pump again to see if anything comes out in a good stream.
-If the pump doesn't run at all, check to make sure the connector hasn't come loose.
-If the pump still doesn't run, check to see if you have 12 volts at the connector at the pump. A simple check can be done with an auto bulb connected to the plug at the motor while the pump switch is pushed.
-If you have power at that point, you likely need to replace the pump and motor.(depending upon the age of vehicle & your mechanical abilities...a call to a local wrecking yard is suggested ..atleast to compare the cost vs. new)

hope that helps

SOURCE: Timing Venture wipers

disconnect the wiper transmission from the motor, then run the motor and turn the motor off with the wiper switch, this will park the motor, re-attach the wiper trans linkage so the wipers are parked/down

SOURCE: On a chevy venture one windshield wiper is moving

when you shut the wipers off and the right one return to the park position, move the left one to its park position,at the base of the wiper lift up a plastic cover, you will find a 13mm nut ,you need to tighten that nut up so the wiper will slide down on the spline further.

SOURCE: My 2004 Ford Expedition will

chall5031, When you try the washer fluid you should be able to hear the pump operating. Yes, it could be caused by a fuse but sometimes the hoses will break or become disconnected. Open the hood and have someone try the washers. If you hear the pump working, look for any hose breaks or disconnections. If you dont hear the pump working then follow the hoses and find the pump. If you have a test light then test for power at the plug while someone tries to operate the washers. If you have power then the pump will have to be replaced. If you dont have power then check the fuses and wires. Ford doesn't list what fuse is for what at the fuse box so you will have to consult your owners manual for this. Good luck with this.

1999 chevy venture, windsheild wipers only work on high , and does not go into park position unless you are close to park position

I would be looking at replacing the wiper motor....the wiper switch is just that, a switch to tell the wiper motor what to do.....most of the wiring is housed internal of the wiper motor such as the park circuit and the speeds........osunds like an internal fault.....replacement would be advised

I an '03 Chevy Venture van whose windshield wipers won't go down.

Your windshield arm is in need of repositioning. Take off the cap on the windshield arm and loosen the nut under the cap. Reposition the arm so that it faces 180 degrees flat to the passenger side of the car. Tighten the nut. This should solve the problem you've described.

Front wiper motor not working

I will give you my honest opinion here. Goto Autozone or any other local parts store and get the Haynes Repair Manual (around $15). Follow the directions in there. Its the best book you can buy for your car and save you alot of money on labor for things like this. I have done a few of these myself and its a decent afternoon project but its easy enough that anyone can do it following the Haynes manual. Good Luck to you.

Sincerely,

JC
