Programming factory keyless remote on isuzu rodeo sport

I changed the batteries in my car alarm remote and now I'm having problems synching it back up to my 2002Isuzu rodeo sport. Any ideas on how to get it fixed would be great! I've already triedthe turning the key open the door method multiple times. It didn't work. Any advice would be great, thanks.

If you did the keyless entry programming thing and it doesn't work you need a new keyless entry module or maybe a fuse is blown...Check the fuses and go from there...

SOURCE: Jeep one year old.

Assuming you have a second key try using that one to deactivate the alarm, if not replace battery in remote. Does lock and unlock work now? you will need to get the remote operational to disengage the security feature that will not allow car to start.
if not disconnect the car battery let sit for 15 min to reset system try again..make sure bettery in remote is installed properly.

SOURCE: factory security system won't allow car to start

do you have a remote? sometimes when you have remote unlocks and lock with the remote and try to unlock manually(with key) the security system "thinks" its being picked and will not allow the vehicle to start or run.

if problem still occurs let us know and we will gladly get you through this

Your security system could have a problem, replace battery in keyless remote. If not helping you may have to take it somewhere and have security system checked

PLESE DONT EVEN TRY.it aint that simple, the computer tells the engine that you have the right key but as you dont have remote locking anymore it thinks your trying to STEAL it.you NEED to replace the remote fob.(you call it keyless entry)think of it this way if it were that simple why fit an alarm system in the first place....(someone asked if you could take out a fuse to stop the alarm !!!!!.)

99 isuzu rodeo remote wont work

Flip the battery over and see if the remote will operate with that orientation. You could check the battery to make sure it works.

Also check the contacts. Can be cleaned with Q-tip lightly moistened with rubbing alcohol. (Don't overdo the alcohol, you don't want to wet anything except the contacts.) If there is corrosion, can be cleaned carefully with a pencil eraser or with fine sandpaper. Shake or blow out any debris.

Hope these thoughts help. Good luck

How do you disable a 2001 rodeo sport alarm

You can't disable a factory alarm system short of completely rewiring the whole electrical system and writing and installing the software programs it runs on.

It might not be a factory installed system. Your best bet is to look around under the dash near the steering wheel and to the left for a black box with a bunch of "obviously not factory installed" colorful wires leading to it. It should have a brand and model number, with which you should be able to find the appropriate remote. Common brands are Clifford, UltraStart, Viper, Directed, Bulldog and others.

How to program remote for 98 Isuzu Rodeo

1998 TF rodeo had electric door locks on some vehicles but there was no keyless entry remote on these vehicles. if you have a separate remote from the ignition key it could be an after market remote system.
if your trying to program the ignition key to start the vehicle this must be done by dealer with tech2
this is the case for Australian vehicles
later vehicles had a heart(rounded) shape keyless enty remote with 2 buttons and had red and green led for each button, which needs programming into system with tech2 by dealer
Jackaroo (Trooper) and Frontera had long rectangle 2 button remote which can be programmed into system by sequence of cycling ignition key opening and closing drivers door which newer rodeos went back to
each vehicles sequence is slightly different depending on year and vehicle.

I just bought a 1998 Rodeo and got halfway home before the anti-theft alarm started going off on the highway. The alrm went off when I unlocked the doors. The keyless remote is shot. Will a replacement...

You cannot disable the system because it's tied directly to the ignition system. The remote is most likely not the primary cause of the issue. Anti theft systems are directly wired to the computer and are designed to disable the vehicle if necessary. It sounds to me like you have two issues. One being the remote. Change the battery and it should function properly, but you may still have the problem of the lights and the alarm sounding off due to the sensor on the ignition switch itself. That will most likely need to be replaced to resolve the issue. Hope this helps, good luck!

yes the remotes do have batteries. how ever that might be your problem or the remotes lost its code for programing. step when turning alarm off---- if its a factory alarm put the key in the drivers door when the door is closed and lock then unlock it thats the manuel shut down for factory. step 2------- aftermarket alarm. look for a valet switch most likely it would be installed by the driver kick panel or by the under dash fuse box. when u find it put the key into the ignition. turn it to the run position. within 3 seconds press and hold the valet switch for 3 to 5 seconds you should here a confirmation chirp and the led light will stay on solid and wont blink give it a world let me know what happens
