SOURCE: programing instructions for buick 2006 lacrossekeyless remote fob

Transmitter ProgrammingImportant: All transmitters which are to be recognized by the remote control door lock receiver (RCDLR) must be programmed in a single programming sequence. If the system is placed in program mode it will erase all previously programmed transmitters upon the receipt of the programming signal from the first transmitter. Up to 4 transmitters can be programmed. Do not operate or program the transmitters in the vicinity of other vehicles that are in the keyless entry program mode. This prevents the programming of the transmitters to the incorrect vehicle.

  1. Install a scan tool.
  2. Use the scan tool in order to access programming: Vehicle Control System/Computer Integrating System/Module Setup/BCM/Program Key Fobs.
  3. Press the START soft key on the scan tool. Important: The scan tool must stay connected until all of the transmitters are programmed.
  4. Press and hold the LOCK button and the UNLOCK button simultaneously on one transmitter. After a delay of 5-10 seconds, the scan tool will indicate that the transmitter is programmed.
  5. Repeat the previous step in order to program up to 4 transmitters.
  6. Remove the scan tool.
  7. Operate the transmitter functions in order to verify correct system operation.
Good luck

SOURCE: 2006 buick lacrosse how to replace headlight low

The bright light fitting is the same as the dim so take it apart fist to see how the cover screws off/on and the light comes out. Both the cover and the bulb are removed by a standard twist to the counterclockwise and replaced by a twist to the clockwise. Now to the dim light. You have to release the entire light assembly before you can remove the screw-on cover to reach the light. On the rear edge of the light unit closest to the engine is a white locking tab. Pull that tab up just to the point where it releases…pull too far and it locks again. Next, locate the other locking bracket which is a metal bracket in the center-rear of the light assembly. This bracket is held down by a screw. Remove the screw with a 10mm wrench. Lift the bracket just like you did the white bracket. You should now be able to pull (or pry) the entire light unit forward a little. Depending on the size of your hands this might be enough. If not, then you need to release the plastic bumper assembly to give you a little more space. This is done by removing two expansion locking pins, one that holds the little plastic strip down between the bright and dim lights and one that is located inside a rubber bumper on the engine side of the light unit. To remove these locking pins, pull or pry up the little tab in the center of the pin just like you were pulling a nail by the head. That should give you a little more space.

SOURCE: HOW DO I CHANGE THE

Asuming you mean taillight/turnsignal, and not highmounted brake light:
1.open the trunk
2.Remove 4 wingnuts on trunk trim (there are two on each side)
You can do it by only removing 2 on one side, but it makes a nicer job,
3.Pull back the trunk "trim" the carpeted cardboard
4.Remove 2 wingnuts which hold the taillight assembly in place
Pull out the taillight assembly; you might want to remove (i.e. unattach or unplug) the wiring harness
5.Turn the particular bulb's socket (there's 5 back there: 2 tail, 1 back up, 1 side marker, 1 brake/turn) counterclockwise, and it removes from the assembly, holding the bulb.
6. Pull out bulb and replace.
6. Reverse steps to reassemble.

One high beam not working 2006 Buick lacrosse

Sampson, sounds like a bunt out bulb, which will need changed.
If you feel comfortable doing it yourself. Basically three screws, and you have to pull one plastic fastener from the fascia (bumper) and pull the bumper back a bit, and pull the assembly out. I believe it is in the manual, not bad to do. I will post a link to tell or show you how to do it. Press the helpful button

How are codes read on 2006 LaCrosse?

The only way to get the codes from your vehicle is with a scan tool. There are a few modules in your vehicle and not all scan tools will retrieve codes from all the modules. If you go to Auto Zone they can only get the powertrain control module codes. This will retrieve the engine and some transmission codes but not the body control module or door modules, seat modules, instrument cluster, heater, and a few more.Depending on what problem you are having.Hope this helps.Good lick.
