I press the gas tank release lever, but the tank door is not opening. Can't fill the tank.

The release cable is sticking or broken. To release the fuel door, open the trunk and pull off the fabric liner on the left side of the trunk. Behind this liner is the fuel door release cable; this cable leads to the fuel door and attaches with a twist-lock connector. It is cylindrical with two tabs. Twist the connector clockwise about 90 degrees and it should pull out, releasing the door.
Just remember, the fuel door will not stay closed until you put the connector back in.

TRY TO PULL ON IT AND HAVE SOMEONE OUTSIDE TAPPING HARD ON IT/IF THIS DON'T WORK PULL ON THE CABLE WITH A PAIR OF VISE GRIPS IF THAT DON'T WORK USE A FLAT BLADE SKINNY SCREW DRIVER INSERT IT AND TRY TO UNLATCH IT FROM THE OUTSIDE HATCH COVER.

Many Hondas have a lock by the Trunk release and fuel door release.
If the lock is engaged, Pulling the gas cover switch will not open the door. Try using your key to unlock the switch first.

If you could use some plastic knife to try and pop out the
fuel door, the next thing to do is spray some lubricant (WD40)
on fuel door-lever linkages, including the tang. If you get some lubricant inside the controlling cables too, that would be great!

You might try having a friend bump the gas cover with the heel of their hand while you **** briskly on the release. Have done this a couple of times and once opened, you can use a little lubricant on the exposed parts. Sometimes that is enough.
