That's not true the link I gave you is the a step by step photo guide to the repair of the rear axle seal. You need to register and sign in at autozone. Then click on the link and it will take you there.

Access to the rear seal requires removing the axle from the car. You need to pull the entire brake assembly, open the dirrerential remove the locking ring and slide the axel out. There you will see the rear axle seal. I was trying to link you to a picture and text step by step as it is a very technical fix and easier to see than try to explain.

Why cant I get the rear rotor off my 2007 dodge 3500

Being a 3500, I'm guessing it's a dually? The axle MUST be removed to take the rotor off. Remove the 8 bolts on the axle flange, then carefully remove the axle. Behind where it was, you'll find a snap ring. Remove that and pull the key block out. Using a brass punch to knock it loose, unscrew and remove the spanner nut, then the outer wheel bearing. After you do all that, you can remove the rotor.

Rear brake shoe replacement on a 98 chevy 3500 dually

If you have drums on the rer yes you do have to remove the axle its simple though you unbolt the 6-8 bolts on the end of the axle then it just simply slides out thats it there mite be some resistance but there isnt anything else holding it in. and you dont have to worry about putting it back into the same spot eather just slide it back in and line up the drum.

How diffficult is it to fix the front seal on a rear axle on a 3500 4x4 dually?

not difficult, but you have to know what you are doing. you will need to check the rotation torque of the pinion beraings before and after, to set the proper preload,

Hello, the rear axel seal on my Dodge Ram Dually

is not that bad just take the tires off then take the diff cover off take the drum or disc off on some truck there is four bolts on the end of the axle tube that you have to remove to get the axle out. but, if you look insider the diff and see two clips that look like a c ust take the bar that runs threw the middle of the diff and holds the spider gears inplace and keeps the axle from moving back and forth out and push the axles in and remove the clips then pull the axle out and rip the sear out and install the new one.

How to remove the rear brake rotor on a 2006 dodge ram 3500 dually

Single rear wheel - Remove both caliper bolts.. remove caliper and pads.. remove rotor.. they are usually rusted on pretty good.

Rear Dually- the rear rotors are mounted with the hub assembly.. you must first remove the rear axles.. then remove nut holding load on bearings.. then the rotor and hub assembly will come off as one unit.. removed rotor from hub..

2004 dodge 3500 creew cab dually 2 x 4 rear axle nut

Talk to yur local MAC TOOLS or Snap-On dealer. Or maybe you have a friend in the business. This is an uncommon tool and your tool dealer will likely have one on his truck. It runs between 20 and 30 dollars, depending on which side of the border you live on.

Have taken off the calipers and axle nut on my 2000 chevy 4x4 3500 dually, and have hit the rotors with a 5 lb hammer, but cannot get the rotors off. What am I doing wrong. I need to change the rotors on...

spray some penatrating oil around the center where the rotor slides on the hub assembly, let it set for a few min then hit the rotor from the back, and rotate it while you hit it!!!!

Will a rear end out of E350 Ford interchange with a Chevy 3500 dually

Is the c/k 3500 4 wheel drive? If it is 4WD,you must retain the same gear ratios for both front and rear axles,or the transfer case will be damaged. If it is 2 wheel drive, you can install any gear you like.I believe the Ford E350 rear axle is a Dana 70,as i have rebuilt 2 of that model, along with Dana 60's.The Ford unit likely will not be a bolt in.It will probably require professionally welding new mount brackets on the Ford axle housing. The width needs to be measured from inside the brake backing plate to the other brake backing plate to see if it will physically fit.Good luck.
