Hello My Hyunday 2000 Accent 2 door, stopped and would not start. 2x it was a fuel pump issue. We changed the pump 2x for a new one and today again 3rd time the same problem. it drove for about a week and now fuel is under the car it is on the road I can not get it home. What is the problem with these pumps? How do we fix it? Your help in this matter would be somuch appreciated. Many thanks and kindest regards Liba

Hey,
If you need to get your car started to take it to a shop. This is a Very old Trick Most cases this works. If you take a Block of wood or a rubber malet.Just Bang on the the Tank bottom. This will Vibrate the Fuel pump from it bad spot on its motor and start working again.Great Trick.........

Step 1. Find a OBDII scanner (OBD stands for On-Borard-Diagnostics). Find out what DTC code (or codes) are stored in the ECU (DTC = Diagnostic Trouble Code, and ECU = Engine Control Unit - it's the computer which manages engine operation).
Step 2. After you find out which code is stored in the ECU, go to http://www.hmaservice.com/ and register your veh (by VIN). Afterward, you can navigate the Hyundai Service Site to find out what system is giving you problems, the diagnosis procedure and what may be needed to fix it.
Nuff said... Let me know what you find.

you may have a bad crank shaft sensor... they cost about $110.00 and are a pain to put in.
