98 ram 1500 5.9 l trans fit 2000 dakota 5.9l?

Tranny 46RH goes on 94-97 & 46RE goes on 97-02 trucks.
the difference is a 46RH is a transmission with a lock up torque converter, and over drive, also Hydraulically controlled (note the H in 46 RH) the 46RE is a transmission with a lock up torque converter, and overdrive, it is electronically controlled (note the E in 46RE) make sure your doing like for like.
E should have wires going to the drivers side of the tranny and a wiring harness bundled up there with zip ties.
hope this helps and good luck! don't smash any fingers putting the new/used one in! ck the output splines too count teeth.

2004 envoy base I spliced the radio harness. Trying to hook up a aftermarket radio what's the color code and why is there two orange wires if the power is orange witch one is

This is why walmart and others sell a wiring kit that plugs one end into the stock wires and the other to your radio, One hot ware goes to always hot wire for clock and station presets, other goes to switched ignition so radio goes off with the key.

Alternator wire diagram

I'm afraid not. The alternators as well as the trucks are wired differently.
The black yellow wire on both models goes to the fuse box, but on the 2005 model with the extra wire, the gray orange and brown white wires goe to the engine computer which acts as the voltage regulator. The 2003 computer would not have provisions for those circuits.

are you getting codes for incorrect gear ratio and shift solenoids? if so then you are in need of a complete transmission overhaul.
However before you do that, check on the drivers side of the engine compartment under the battery tray is a wiring harness that runs next to the transmission, after a leaky battery and years of service, the pink wire that goes from the tranny control module, on the passengers fender, to the tranny gets corroded and brakes inside the insulation, check powers and grounds and if all is ok then bring it to a tranny shop, the sun gear brakes alot in those units, had the same problem on my cousins 3.3L and had to do an overhaul.
sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
