Door jam switch

I have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. The driver door doesn't have a door jam switch that I can see. Here's the problem - Door locks and windows don't work, key in ignition sounds even when door is shut, dash lights when headlights are on are dim and all interior lights on when dimmer is turned up? I need help for it is really hot in there and I don't have the luxury of another vehicle to use.

Try removing door switches on door jam and by pass switch plug with a piece of wire. Do this one door at a time untill faulty switch is pinpointed then replace faulty switch.

If all the doors do not lock or unlock when using the passenger side switch, then the switch itself is probably bad.   If the passenger side switch locks or unlocks all the other doors except for its own, then the power lock solenoid inside the door is bad or jammed.  If it is jammed, try locking and unlocking the door manually while activating the switch to work its way free.
