Here's a link to the firing order including a diagram: It's 1-2-3-4-5-6 Clockwise

If i have a 1996 chevy cavalier i have the firing order for the spark plugs but need the order for the distributor or ignition coil

    FIRING ORDERS

    See Figures 1 and 2
To avoid confusion, remove and tag the spark plug wires one at a time, for replacement.
If a distributor is not keyed for installation with only one orientation, it could have been removed previously and rewired. The resultant wiring would hold the correct firing order, but could change the relative placement of the plug towers in relation to the engine. For this reason it is imperative that you label all wires before disconnecting any of them. Also, before removal, compare the current wiring with the accompanying illustrations. If the current wiring does not match, make notes to reflect how your engine is wired.

I need the diagram to be sure to hook it it corectly thanks

not sure what you are hooking up...if you are putting on new spark plug wires...locate the distributor...usually marked #1 and goes in clockwise circle...firing order for the V8 is 18436572...hope that helps...usually changing one wire at a time is best...to not confuse the firing order...

Back firing, seems like lack of fuel, need to know where both filters are

Back firing is caused by improper firing order or bad timing belt or chain.Verify spark plug wires are on in correct order. If no one has been changing wires, check that when harmonic balancer is lined up at top dead center that rotor in distributor is lined up to tower that goes to plug wire that goes to number one cylinder. First plug in front on passenger side. If it is off your chain or belt depending on motor needs to be changed.

#1 spark plug wire for 83 Chrysler 5th ave 318

On a 318 #1 is at 6:00 o'clock on the distributor when you are looking at it from the front of the car. It turns clockwise and the firing order is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2. Odd cylinders are on the driver's side starting from the rad and even on the passenger's. Hope this helps.

Need firing order and placement of first wire on cap

If you have the 3 cylinder engine, the firing order is 1/3/2. The distributor rotation is counter-clockwise looking at it from above, and the #1 spark plug wire goes on the distributor pin closest to the driver side fender.
If you have the 4 cylinder engine, the firing order is 1/3/4/2. The distributor rotation is also counter-clockwise, and the #1 wire goes on the distributor pin closest to the front passenger headlight.
    Hope this helps!

I just changed all spark plugs and wires with boash platium +4 spark plugs and boash wires. the problem i'm having it's only firing on 5 not 6, i checked all wires and there in the right places. I have...

    1. Double check the connections at BOTH ends of the wires- at the distributor and at the plug. 2. Make sure each spark plug boot has proper connection. 3. Double check the plugs to make sure that they are all gapped correctly and no contamination. 4. Hold each spark plug upright and make sure that the ceramic insulator near the tip isn't loose and sliding down and possibly covering the metal tip..(had this happen more than once) 5. Check for spark at each plug (be careful) 6. Open the distributor cap and double check all the exposed metal connectors are clean. 7. buy one extra plug and change out the suspect plug.

Where can I find a spark plug wiring diagram for 1997 3.1l engine

Normally the firing order will be stamped on the top of the intake manifold also the number one plug will be the front one on the drivers side of the car. On the top of the distributor cap you should see a number one that is where the number one plug wire goes follow the firing order on the manifold and go clock wise on the distributor cap

After changing my spark plugs and wires in a toyota siena 2000 my car shake a lot i dont know what's the problem some advice please, and please tell me what is the sparking order and may be the problem...

On american cars the firing order is imprinted on the engine itself, if not the firing order is located in your owners manual it will also give u gap specs as well. Make sure the gap is right and firing order is right, If they are both correct then you might need look into your distributor or coil whichever ur case may be. If all this is correct, check and make sure ur wires aren't faulty and fouling out against metal or the brackets their mounted in. This is rare but it does happen sometimes.I hope i have helped you
