I have a 2009 Honda CR-V EX-L with Nav and a 6 disc CD changer. The CD changer will not play any CD's, and displays on the screen "CDC MECH ERROR". Can anyone help me fix this problem? Thanks
There are one or more discs jammed in the changer. This will happen if discs are loaded in the player to fast (usually). Unless you are familliar with the system to remove it and open the cover, I would suggest for you to bring it to an audio shop or dealer to fix.
Either the unit's motor is bad or the mechanical parts are dirty not allowing the unit to change CD's or load them.

The code for the radio needs to be input.
the radio must have been disconnected from the battery.
look for the code on a card in the glove box.
if no card, then u have to pull the stereo out and get the serial #
to the dealership.

I talked to a dealer, all they could tell me is they have to send it to honda to fix it... a good 250$ for software fix...plus dealer will charge 50$ for each time they take the player out and in...
