2005 Chrysler T&C...The changer kept making noise but wouldn't eject several of the discs. I tried everything, but nothing would help. I disconnected the battery, but now it acts like it doesn't recognize that the discs are in it. It won't take discs or eject them and gives an error on the radio screen

I would remove the player from the dash and set it carefully on the ground and then take a sledge hammer and beat the liviing daylights out of it what is left is probably your discs
Sounds like the changer has gone bad. Same thing happened on my Altima twice. Dealer replaced it under warranty. Guessing yours is no longer under warranty. Unfortunately this is more of a replacement than a repair item. Your choice if you go factory or aftermarket. I'd see if you can go with the 2007 stereo since it supports MP3 discs and teh 2005 did not.
this sounds like the belt in the changer has broken, this belt operates the tray that hold the magazine, so its trying to eject it but is not moving upward also this belt spins the discs, you will need to remove the unit and had a belt out in it, ive had a couple of these repaired it cost about 100.00 dollars, at an audio repair shop also had one that the carriage was bad. hope this helps.

I'm having the same problem, although I didn't get the 3 left 3 right thing until I reinstalled the dvd changer to see if it worked. The Haynes manual for Chrysler Voyager & Town & Country 2003-2006 has the steps you'll need to remove it. Just refer to page 11-18, 11-19 for removing the instrument panel, then page 12-9 for 'radio' removal. If you can't get the manual let me know.
needs a new disc changer. Something is wrong internally. You will be able to get them back if you go to the dealership and get an exchange unit. They will send the discs back when they remanufacture the unit.
