If distributor components + coil look good problem could be in the power module.

My 1993 dogde dakota would not start but it crank

Check primary voltage to ignition coil, engine cranking, dark green wire with orange tracer. Check the same wire at fuel injectors, that voltage comes from asd relay. I'm not saying the relay is faulty, check the crank sensor. Any applicable trouble codes?

Dodge d50 won't start. Has gas to carborater and spark to plugs, set timing and new plugs but won't start. Tried pull starting and still nothing. Put starting fluid in carborater and nothing still. Has new...

A D-50 with a carb - that is a few years old and probably lots of miles on it.
If you know you has gas and spark to the plugs then either there is not enough compression (engine worn out) or the timing of spark to compression stroke of the engine is wrong.
Make sure the timing belt is ok
Then check compression - the lowest cylinder should not be less than half of the PSI of the highest cylinder and they should be about 125 PSI or more. If it is down as far as 100 PSI it may still run but is very weak. Be aware also that Compression guages can vary significantly in their readings.
While you are checking cylinder #1 - check to see if the distributor lines up to #1 tower on the cap while the compression stroke pushes air out.
Let me know if this helps you at all

1989 Dodge Ram D50, no spark. coil may be miswired.

Check the resistance on the coil. the (+) (-) side should be about 10 Ohms resistance and the part that goes out of the coil should be 1-2 ohms resistance. Get yourself an ohmmeter and check it. best way to check is to figure out what wire runs from the computer to the coil and follow the wiring all the way to the coil making sure theres no rips or shorts. If there isnt, then I would splice into the two wires and run two new wires over to the coil. If it still doesnt have spark then its a faulty computer and should be replaced. Good luck
