If the engine has stopped the dash should display oil and volts. Your trouble is not with your alternator or battery. Your trouble is that your engine is stopping. More detail would be needed to do any meaningful troubleshooting. Is your Service Engine Soon light on? If so the mechanic will be able to see what trouble codes have been tripped.
The light is on because that system has detected a problem within the air bag system. Anything from an accident to a broken wire somewhere! This system is disabled as long as the light is on but the bag could still go off if the right sequence of events happens, just to be on the safe side, I would have the codes checked to see if it's something simple or not.
The INFL REST light means the "Inflatable Restraint" .Any time the light illuminates, a code is stored within the Central Control Module (CCM). That's your Airbag light. It stands for Inflationary Restraint. It should blink 5 times then go off. If it stays on there is a problem.Get the car scanned for codes before replacing any part.At www.autozone.com its absolutely free to get car scanned to get codes.Keep updated for more queries.Thanks.
well, is there an aftermarket steering wheel on it?? cuz the original steering wheels are big and have air bags, which don't match the cars style many owners have them replaced.. infl rest stands for inflatable restraint btw
