Well, to accurately determine the problem as fast as possible you could perform a ECU diagnostics.
Located Here: http://www.nicoclub.com/articles.php?id=249406

Other than that - here is what i would check and verify using the FSM (Factory Service Manual)
Located here: http://300zx-twinturbo.com/cgi-bin/manual.cgi

Things to check:
Check to make sure your using a key that doesnt have any bends/damage (could trip a security issue)
Check Battery Cables for corrosion
Check for any possible wiring shorts
Check the resistance in the starter (Could have a good starter, but not properly grounded)

If what i recommended didnt help, check the ECU diagnostics, it's very easy to perform and will give you an exact description of where to look for your problem =) If you need further help (same goes for anyone) email me at [email protected]

Best Regards,
Kyle

The car wont start. I know its either the starter or just the cyllinoid to the starter. Im trying to take off the starter but I cant seem to locate the bolts. How do I take the starter off?

  1. why do that ?, why not post the symptoms and ask for help.?
i suspect you meant the engine will not crank. ????????????
no engine starts unless, cranked or push started (my stick car starts 3ways, starter cranked, push started or gravity(hill) started.
my guess is this Esteem is A/T tranny. and only 1 way.
And will not crank. here are the steps and logic.

  1. all fuses good, battery lugs cleaned.
  2. jumper cables, on your battery to other car, running.
  3. it crankes and runs , your battery is dead or only discharged.
  4. so you find it dont crank jumper cable started.
  5. the means its 1 of 2 things, bad starter or bad key LINE>
  6. so you then , hot wire the solenoid, on side of starter , it has 2 big lugs and 1 tiny lug, keys in pocket you jumper the tiny lug to big outside lug, (battery lug +)
  7. you find out the started cranks now. wow it works. i saved you 4 hours labor and trips to store and all that bull. THE KEY LIKE IS DEAD.!
  8. if it dont crank now the starter is bad (with charged battery)
  9. ok it cranks hot wired, it wont start cuz key in pocket for safety.
  10. you then do these tricks see here.
  11. http://www.fixkick.com/nocrank.html#tricks
  12. see the other tests there, and the hot wire too. and lots more.
  13. there is no need to guess, if you have a voltmeter, 100 points.
  14. The rested battery voltage should be 12.6vdc if not its discharged. so charge it.

My 2005 suzuki aeiro wont start.battery is good . wont turn over

what transmission,?
this can be 3 things, if it wont jump and batter is good.
bad connections at battery or starter.
1: bad starter.
2: bad (A/T shift switch) or bad M/T clutch switch.
3 bad ignition switch.
4: bad wire or connections end to and start system.

hot wire the starter solenoid, if car starts (cranks) then its 2 o 3.

Car won't start without a jump but battery okay

wont crank or wont start.??
no car starts , if it cant crank. (unless push starter (M/T magic)
that is not a trans sensor its the PRN switch.
ill answer for, wont CRANK !
it wont crank even with a good battery (charged) or jump started.
1: bad start
2: bad wires to same.
so hot wire the starter small wire, the key start line is tiny.
cranks. , starter good, no crank starter bad or cables bad.
if it cranks hot wired, then the key line is dead.
easy, huh?

Please advise me that how to change vz commodre inhibitor switch ?

Have your starter checked. Mine did the same thing. In the beginning it was slow cranking over. Then it just stopped turning over all together. Is it a stick or automatic? If stick get a push start from friends if it runs fine then you know it's the starter. Good luck hope this helped.

1985 nissan 300z wont crank

When you switch the ignition wont start or crank, right? but did you hear a tikiting sound? if you do then the problem was your starter, either the solenoid in your starter was faulty or the starter itself might be grounder or shorted.Replace the solenoid if deffective or starter but before you do that check your battery.
Next is to check your electrical line from the ignition to the starter and also from your battery going to the starter, if there is a connectivity it means your line is good.
Next you said it has to be push to start and run but when you shut it off it wont start? It means your alternator was not charging properly, so it was deffective, the battery lost its power. replace or repair your alternator.
Hope this will help you, good luck!!!

Replaced starter still wont start soliniod good 90

if the motor turn over but will not start try looking at the cps(crank position sensor)it would create a no spark condition. its located at the back of the engine right at the bell housing for the transmission.you can test it with an ohms meter or just replace it.

Pickup wont start

You didn't give me a lot to go on but I'll try. First make sure the battery has a good charge. If the head lights come on and all the electrical items power up than the battery terminals should be ok. If not or the lights dim badly when you try to key start clean the battery terminals. If it still will not crank, (turn over,) than it is more than likely the starter. Good luck.

Car wont start

This is most likely a dead starter.
