Wont start unless jump from starter

Your battery will not be "good" if you can jump start the car from another power source. If it is a 2014 model it will be the original battery.

Unless you have tested the cold cranking amps the battery is producing you cannot say if it will turn the starter motor or not. A good battery would kick the starter motor over. If you can jump start the car by connecting another power source to the battery terminals it will not be a wiring issue either.

If it's a 2014 it should still be covered by new car warranty (but not if the problem is just a failed battery which is subject to the applicable battery warranty)./

check for power from the ignition switch to the solenoid. probably turned off by the immobiliser

possible but my money is on a bad battery. have a load test done on the battery. I suspect that the over heating problem is not completely fixed as water pumps will still pump water as long as they can be turned . Probably all that was done was to tighten the drive belt . Unless the pump seal was worn out and you were loosing coolant.. Clicking noise when trying to start is bad connection or dead battery.

This behaviour is typical of worn starter motor main contacts, at the bottom of the starter solenoid.

1: bad start
2: bad wires to same.
so hot wire the starter small wire, the key start line is tiny.
cranks. , starter good, no crank starter bad or cables bad.
if it cranks hot wired, then the key line is dead.

Then you need a ignition switch the elecrical part

turn on headlites and windshield wipers do they work? if they do then the battery is not the problem,,unless you been trying to start it a lot and drained down the battery..get a jump from someone AAA. if the car makes a clicking noise when you try and start it then the battery is drained . if you get a jump and it still wont start then the starter is bad... rap on the solenoid on top of the starter, with a piece of wood, while someone tries to start it, and usually i"ll start one time for you, don't shut it off or you'll be stranded again.

Sounds like either the voltage regulator or altenator is bad. Most part stores will test altenator, battery, and starter for free in the vehicle or out. Double check relays and cable connections

Without trying to sound like a commercial, take it to Sears. They will hook up a tester to your car and tell you what's wrong with it for free. It could be something as simple as corrosion or a bad cable.
