SOURCE: cabin air filter on a 2006 subaru outback limited

The cabin air filter is behind the glove box. The first thing you need to do is empty the glove box. (2) you need to remove the side panel that runs along the side of the shifter, it is a long panel and has on clip near the firewall, the clip will have a phillips head on it, just back it out and remove this panel. Then remove all the bolts (10MM) holding the glove box on, The glove box is will stay up because it has two hings that run into the sides of dash. All you need to do is squeeze the glove box untill it pops out and the glove box will be out. There is no need to unhook the wiring for the light bulb just let the glove box hang on the floor. Now you will see a black cover that is held on by 4 small metal clips, remove these and pull the cabin air filter out. when you reinstall the new one, make sure you put it in with the air flow arrows pointed in the right direction or else you will cause blockage. reinstall and enjoy your new heppa filter

Inertia switch location in 2006 subaru outback

Subarus do not have inertia switches like some fords do. If you having fuel problems, you can have a pressure test done at a shop. Or check the relays and fuses to make sure they are good.

Most likely this is a RELAY that is under the hood. Look for the fusebox there and see if you take the cover off.

Headlights won' turn on on a 2006 subaru outback marker lights work

2006 Subaru Liberty 3.0 Blitzen, 52,000kms. It's unbelievable, both my low beams went out at once and when I checked it was both the globes had gone at once. Never has this happened on any other vehicle before, I've ordered a HID conversion kit over the net, hope that works well.

do your lights work if yes check to see if you hear fuel pump running when you turn ignition key on.if yes you got ignition problems.if you hear nothing problem is fuel pump or bad relay.if your dash lights and head lights not working you have alternator problems.

Parking & tail lights stay on

1 Other User Has The Same Problem Posted by camberggren on Nov 26, 2008 I just encountered the same problem on my 96 Subaru after I had the alternator replaced. One user tried the band aid fix of removing the hazard warning flasher 15 amp fuse in position #27 in the engine compartment fuse panel. It could also be a bad lighting relay. I am still troubleshooting the problem. Solution #1 posted on Aug 12, 2008 0%20stars_w.png

The first thing you need to do is figure out if the car has a factory or aftermarket security system them replace the clicking relay accordingly

2007 subaru outback headlight problem

Each head lamp also has it's own relay, you can rule the relay out by swapping the left head light relay with the right head light relay & see if the problem moves to the other side...The relays are also in the same under hood fuse box.
