Try pulling fuse #14 I believe it is for central locking sy
stem. This fuse panel is in the trunk on the passenger side. Check the cover to see what # fuse it is pull it out for 5 seconds and put back in. Their's a chance u may be able to reactivate the pump and things will start working again..good luck

The trunk is closed but has a space. I push the button to open the trunk and it does not unlock. It tries to close shut but can't?

Question edited into sentences and to what I think you thought you were saying.

'year make model' as first three words in every question please. There are categories for every model and in most cases the year as well.

Open the trunk and use the emergency handle release to release the catch. You will see it is currently in the locked position with a closed latching hook. Spray it with WD40. With the truck OPEN, get someone to operate the trunk release button and you should see it move a little. Then lock it again.

The trunk latch on my 2003 Nissan Altima will not work. Whenever I try to close it, the latch will not catch so I have it tied down with a rope. How can I fix this?

It sounds like the latch mechanism is in the closed position, which would prevent it from catching when you close the trunk lid. Try using your key to unlock the latch, or activate the trunk opener from inside the car. If neither of those works, you may have to use a screwdriver or similar bladed tool to manually open the latch. Also, check the metal bracket that the latch catches on. It could be out of position, or could have something covering it, preventing the latch from locking onto it.

I have a 2001 Buick Lesabre, and my trunk will not stay closed. I don't know if it is my trunk latch or what. how can I fix this prolem?

either the latch is broken, repair parts will be needed, or the catch loosened and needs adjusting. does the trunk close with a motor? have you tried unlocking the trunk? maybe the latch is in the locked position or it's stuck in the latch position. if stuck, turn the key to unlock and pry with a screwdriver

2000 Lexus ES300 trunk lid does not fit right on 2001 Lexus ES300

Hi, try loosening the catch on the trunk lid but do not remove it and the lock mechanism, close the trunk lid but not fully, then pull the backseats down and climb into the trunk. Adjust the lock and latch until they meet up and lock together ( This will take some time and patience is essential). Fasten the Catch and Lock back up. Then retry opening and closing, if it still doesnt fit just do the same again, just needs a bit of adjustment.

hope this helps. jonno

2005 audi a8 trunk + upgrades for ipod integration

I had exact same problem, but what I found out was a three step solution to the problem.
1) The trunk lock above the trunk lid tself - sometimes looses coiling retention for the lock to work properly, which in effect does not properly lock wrap around the pull down electronic unit located in the body of the car/trunk that catches and pull the trunk lid down SOLUTION: check and make sure lock is works properly. you cab check by opening trunk and locking it with remote key, then pry the lock with a screw driver to see if it unlocks or stays locked

2) The motor catching unit in the body of the car/trunk that catches the lid and draws it down can be off balance (sitting too low to catch the lock (upper trunk lid with lock) to pull it down and stay locked. Have a mechanic - Audi preferrably, check the positon and allignment to adjust it, so it can catch trunk lid and lock to stay locked. HOPE THIS HELPS!
