Why won't the air conditioner blow air?

The very first thing you need to do is to check for fuses or say faulty fuse. Secondly check fan which starts along with air conditioner, it might be manually switched off or the fan may have been clogged. Also reason can be lack of refrigerant - charge your air conditioner with refrigerant. Last thing you need to check is cooling coil - the cooling coil may freeze if there is no refrigerant in the system.

1994 eldorado engine gets hot when idling but cools down while driving. When idling or driving slow it overheats and blows the coolant out of the overflow hose. when driving 45mph or more it cools down....

Sounds like the front of the radiator or A/C condenser is clogged up...take a water hose and try to clean any debre from the front, so air can pass freely...

Air conditioner will not come on and fan is not blowing.

Check the fuse. If it's good then you may have a short.

98 v6 mustang is over heating its not the thermostate or fan

Several things ... best guess, in order:
1. (very likely) Radiator fan is not blowing (turn on car and a/conditioner.
When compressor kicks in, the radiator fan must blow). If it ims not blowing,
the radiator fan motor may be burned out ($40).
2. Check / replace "cooling fan" fuse ($1) and / or "cooling fan" relay switch
($7).
3. Radiator clog (possible)
Hope this helps!

We have a 1998 cadillac deville and sometimes the ac will blow through the vents normally and then unexpectdly they will start to blow air through the vents ontop of the dashboard. Also, when the coolent...

When the cool air ceases, does any air blow? If your air flow ceases (the cooling fans run the entire time the A/C runs normally), your cooling fans might also be malfunctioning. How many times has your car overheated since the September 2008 head gasket replacement? Repeated overheating will dramaticly shorten the lifespan of a head gasket (if you and/or your husband know your way around cars, the head gasket replacement isn't terribly difficult, just takes ALOT of time- you can send an email to maintjoseph @yahoo.com -no space between the name and the @ sign- and I'll help guide you through the head gasket replacement). I had to replace both gaskets and a head on my 1999 Taurus with a Vulcan engine and have had continuing problems with the cooling system. Your computer might also be acting up if you're noticing other driveablility problems.

Air conditioner

Is the fan running with A/C on at idle? If yes try blowing out the radiator and condenser with compressed air.
