You'll need a torx bit for the bottom screws. The door handle comes apart (using a screw driver) to expose 2 phillips screws holding the door handle to the door, after you get those out, pop the rest of the push clips out by firmly pulling on the door panel near the bottom, There may also be another screw on the TOP Front (near the mirror) very small phillips. Once you have the door panel loose, lift UP on the door panel to remove. Once you get that panel off, you'll have to remove all the other screws to get the window regulator out (lots of 10mm bolts). Unclip / unconnect the connections etc..

Hi:
There are door hinge bushings that wear out, and the door sags because of it. They are not too expensive, but a little tough to install yourself. I did both doors on my wive's car for about $25.

SOURCE: remove drives door panel from v.w.

pop the cover of the handle. screws inside there. screws across bottom and dont forget there is one in the front by the speakerpod. pull the bottom straight out towards you and then up.

Volkswagen polo door not unlocking
need to remove door panel most likely problem is clip broke or popped off lock actuator clip is only a couple of bucks at most auto stores -the door panel is going to take a little bit of time since u will be working with seat and steering whel in place - u can try to see if a service station has a slim-jim [a tool that slides down into door and and unlocks doors ] or a locksmith [ more expensive ] to unlock the door so u can open door and work on it good luck

Need to remove left rear door panel
  1. If equipped, remove the window crank handle by using a retaining clip removal tool.
  2. Remove the door handle bezel by inserting a flat trim removal tool between the door panel and handle bezel to release the locking tabs.
  3. Remove all door panel electrical connectors .
  4. Remove the door panel push pins and trim screws. Lift the door panel up and out to release the door panel locking tabs.

How to change inside door locking knobs
If the knobs don't come up enough to remove (unscrew) them when unlocking with a key, you will need to remove the door panels to access them. take out the screw in the arm rest, take off the window crank and gently pop the plastic fasteners around the edges straight out, them pull door panel up and away. this should expose the knobs enough to remove, then replace the door panel and put in the new ones... Hope this helps...;-)
