Well, not sure if the temps have a direct cause for your problem, but you may want to check the CV joints on your axles. If you have ripped a boot, and lost the grease, that could cause a whinning. There are also a few other things it could be as well............any more info?

SOURCE: 1994 nissan pathfinder engine make low whining noise when excellerating

It sounds like a ground issue. If you have an amp connected to your stereo check the negative ground and remount to a different spot. If not it could be the belts or possible wheel bearing.

2016 nissan altima 4 door,automatic,2.5 litre.whining noise in the engine area started.was told it was a tensioner pulley bearing going.bought a serpentine belt, tensioner pulley new.

May be cvt related. Earlier models would develop a bad cvt whine and the car would go into almost a limp-mode, where it had reduced power. Make sure the fluid level is good and it doesnt appear burnt.

Have the codes read. Could be the control module or a chip inside the transmission that has failed.

Nissan versa automatic not cvt i did a full transmission cleaning and rebuild, i have P,R,N,1. Drive and second are not engaging, what could it be?shift solenoids?shifter switch not properly adjusted?

If you did a complete rebuild you did something wrong. If you did a partial and did not replace your solenoids then that could easily be the problem.

What is making this 08 caliber 2.0L sxt cvt have a High pitched whining sound at idle and driving?

Possible bearing in one of the drive pulleys. I have changed numerous alternators for this noise. Take the belt off and start the car. If the noise goes away you know it will be pulley related and not transmission related. If noise goes away, spin all pulleys by hand to determine the defective/noisy one

I have a Nissan versa 2009 and it has a cvt transmission what. If any is the difference and is it a better transmission than the older regular transmissions?

CVT stands for constant velosity trans.which means it just keeps going.if you listen when you take off you wont hear it shift 3 or 4 times it keeps going.Better?time will tell and many different opinions.
