There is a pulse flush used by garages which would be best if it's high mileage.

If you don't want to use a garage, here's a link. Please do all you can to keep the coolant from getting on/into the ground/driveway, etc.

Clean up with rags & flush thouroughly if any is spilled.

This may or may not help, but it's a reasonable next step.

By the way, how many miles on the vehicle?

I am assuming you have the Northstar engine.

Check for coolant flow at the Purge line, this is a common problem on the Northstar.
There is a small diameter hose coming from near the top of the coolant tank, this is the purge line.
With the engine idling, pull the purge line from the tank,if there is no coolant flow from this small hose,it is blocked and this will cause overheating. If the hose is clear, check for blockage at the nipple on the tank.

Are you running it without a thermostat? If so,then strangely enough, this will cause overheating as the Northstar cooling system is different to most conventional systems and therefore will not help you diagnose the problem.

1999 Cadillac eldorado overheating. Changed thermostat, still overheating now with white smoke coming from exhaust. Checked water pump belt, it is there and turning. Cold air blowing from heater, no heat.

coolant leaking into engine probably blown head gaskets. More damage will occur the more you drive it. Unfortunate and expensive repair on a northstar.

I have a 99 cadillac eldorado it is overheating i changed thermostat and coolant it still overheats i beleive the water pump works the fans work when put coolant in the over flow it shoots out when it gets...

Hello: Open hood, stand in front of car look on left side (driver side) of engine toward the radiator, there will be a black metal guard, under the guard there will be a small belt. This is the belt that drives the water pump. Make sure the belt is there. If belt is there start car and with engine running check to be sure belt is turning and that the water pump is turning. If all that is okay then you may have blown head gaskets. To check head gaskets you need a sniffer tool to smell the engine coolant which will tell you if you have exhaust gas in the coolant.

My car keeps overheating, i've replaced the top hose, water pump, and thermostat, what else could be the problem?

It might have an Air Lock, Have you bled the system after you have done the repair work? Try flushing the system and bleed it after you fill it up. Failing that the cylinder Head gasket might be on the way out if it has overheated and burned the head.

No hot water in my radiator, lots in motor:(

If the thermostat is put in upside down, a radiator hose has collapsed or collapsed internally, or the radiator is clogged. this could cause your issue. In some cases if the engine was neglected too long then sediment would accumulate in the heads or head-gasket, to the point that the ports would be closed up. start with the thermostat then then hoses then the radiator.

My 96 Cadillac Eldo keeps overheating

Hello, look on the left (driver side) front of the engine, you will see at the end of the closest to you, on the cylinder head, a pulley. This pulley runs your water pump, by a belt connection. Check and see if that belt is on.
If you are adding water, you should have it pressure tested, as it could be the water pump(which takes a special tool to replace) or a bad head gasket.
