I hate to be the barer of bad news, if your timing belt broke, you will probably need to replace the heads also. Not a small job. When a timing belt brakes the timing is out (of course) and when that happens the valves hit the piston and bend. So remove the water pump belt, a/c belt and the alt. belt. you will have to remove the harmonic balancer through the right wheel well. Before you remove this make sure number one piston is at the top of the cylinder. Then unbolt the black plastic timing belt cover, clean all the debris out. When this is done check the all the pulleys in there to see if they are nylon or metal, if they are nylon replace everything (nylon cracks over time from stress). Once that is done you will have to remove the heads to check for valve damage. If damaged you will have to get new or used heads or have yours rebuilt.

Instructions and torque specs for a timing belt but 05 Chevy Aveo

You will need the timing lock device that locks the crank and cam shafts for when you remove the old belt, (maybe able to hire one perhaps). The new belt will include markings and a water pump.
If you have never replaced one before, prepare to pay a garage a lot of money to put it right for you.

The serpentine belt broke on my2002 subaru outback

There is a distinct possibilty there is engine damage caused when the belt broke. It is best not to turn the engine at all once this happens. Sometimes you can be lucky and there be no damage. Let's hope that's so in your case. These belts are supposed to be replaced every 100,000km.

Timing belt problem

when you broke the belt you most likely broke the magnet for the cam sensor. What you need to do is spin the engine around to TDC and look for a magnet.

Take the sensor out first.

Honda died while on freeway

so you checked under the timing belt cover and found that your timing belt broke. you have an interference engine which means when the timing belt broke the pistons most likely hit against the valves which now means you most likely wil need valve/head replaced and t-belt replaced.
