Front heat goes out back heat stays on1994 gmc suburban

Where is the blower motor because i think it's just the wires to the blower. Sometimes when I hit a bump on the road,or closing the door hard, the front heat comes on.

The blower motor is under the dash on the passenger side.
Could be a faulty blower resistor too.

There is an updated resistor/connector package. Very expensive from GM, try your local NAPA or other parts supplier for a replacement

SOURCE: 1986 gmc suburban door panel removal

You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. If needed, you can pull back the weather seal (can't reuse it, but it's not that important) and you will be able to access everything inside the door

SOURCE: How to uninstall a blower motor on a 1999 GMC JIMMY

Yeah if you have to tap on it, then that means the brushes in the motor are worn out and you need to replace it. The blower motor is behind the PCM and Coolant Overflow bottle. If you remove these then it will give you better access to motor. You'll have to cut around housing. There should be a groove already there for you, just make sure you don't cut all the way around it. Once you open it and get the new one installed, you'll have to use caulk to seal where you cut it at.

GMC 2004 Envoy blows heat even with blower off ... Why ?

The relay in your blower motor is stuck on, there is a TSB for this issue. Replace the blower motor resistor and you'll be back in business.
How does the resistor get power if the fuse is pulled?
Replacing the resistor will cure both problems. TSB is a technical service bullitin seen below

Our front ac is not working and back is cold in our 1999 GMC suburban, we tried putting freon and it didn't work

Dual zone front/rear ac systems have 2 evaporator cores. And 2 orifice tubes, which are just inline
filters. Either your front evaporator core or orifice tube is probably stopped up.

Sometimes you can get to the evaporator cores without removing them from the vehicle, and clean it.
Evaporator cores do get stopped up sometimes, because the blower motor pulls in air with dust and debris from outside, and the air is cooled when it passes through the evaporator core.

But evaporator cores are a nightmare to replace, you usually have to remove lots of stuff under the dash and lots of stuff under the hood to remove them.

Hi, the blower module that is located at the bottom of the heater box, next to the blower motor, above the panel below the glove box, has a tendancy to go bad, possibly overheat, and melt the larger of the two connectors. This can lead to one or all sppeds inop. the module will need to be replaced, and th connector inspected. If the connector is melted, or discolored, it needs to be replaced. A pigtail with wires, and connectors, as well as the resistor, should be available at a local GMC or Chevy dealer. Good luck...Coop

My 99 suburban front Ac fan does not work, if I drive over 40 mph there seems to be cool air being pushed thru if you put your hand infront of the vent.Back AC works good. heat works almost the same way....

It's either your fuse, blower motor or the switch. More than likely the blower motor. You'll have to take it out and get a new one. Use a test light to see if there is power at the motor when the key is on and the fan switch is on. If power is present, then your motor is gone.

99 Yukon - Blower Motor Not Working

I went through the same thing with my 99 suburban. It turned out to be the dash fan control switch. It is purchased seperate from the whole cluster for under twenty dollars. The instrument panel cover comes off gently by hand with the tilt steering in the down position. You have to then unplug the electrical plugs to get it out of the way. The heater ac control panel then comes out by hand far enough to unsrew the heater fan control from the back.
