Nice car i have one myself but the back brakes are a little bit tricky because you can not just push the brake calipers piston back into the bore. but here is how you can do it. you need a large plieres and you have to put the head of the pliers into the calipers piston then spread apart the handels so that the head of the pliers opens up against the inside walls of the piston. then all you have to do is Turn the piston back into its bore. See the rear caliper piston on the mustangs are just like a bolt. they are threaded into the bore and when your pads were they screw them selves out so when you redo your brakes you have to screw them back in just like a bolt. The squeaky noise can be several things, but usually it's how your pad contacts the rotor provided it's rear disc. Check the caliper slides, if it's not sliding back and forth, you'll wear the inboard side pad and it will squeak.
I assume the fuse has power if the hazards work. The third brake light skips the turn signal switch, the regular brake light circuit goes thru the turn signal switch. Do you have power going into the turn signal switch on the red lite green wire from the brake switch ?
I don't believe there is a separate fuse for the high-mount brake light. Never was on older cars, that brake light is just spliced into the rear brake lights. Have you checked the bulb?
Working through cover opening, remove differential pinion shaft lock pin and remove differential pinion shaft and differential pinion gears (4215).
NOTE: THIS IS FREE INFORMATION!!!!
Remove rear brake anti-lock sensor . Push axle shaft inward until u-washers at button end of the axle shaft are clear of side gear recess.
CAUTION: Do not damage inner wheel bearing oil seals when removing axle shafts from rear axle housing. In addition, axle shafts should be completely removed from rear axle housing.
Remove u-washers and pull axle shafts out of the rear axle housing.
My 1995 mustang uses a 13 mm socket for the front calipers. I used a screwdriver to pry the pads back before removing the calipers, easier than using the C-clamp method.
As for the back brakes if you have the shoe type brakes you will need a brake shoe adjusting tool to loosen the adjusters.
Probably a good sized 2-4 pound hammer.
Slip joint plyers.
A 5/16 -3/8 wrench for the bleeder screws depending on the one you have. I didn't need to bleed mine as I was able to remove the shoes without disturbing the wheel cylinders.
If you need to bleed the brakes a good bleeding kit or 2 people that can work together pumping and bleeding the brakes .
