you may be right. The ac control knob now stick before it goes to the blower setting. Once I mildly force it, the blower does not come on. I removed the panel and the ac control knob unit. The knob feels like its missing a gear on the inside now. Any help is greatly appreciated!you may be right. The ac control knob now stick before it goes to the blower setting. I'd first check for wiring/fuses - make sure all electrics work. If I'm not mistaken, car has a cabin filter that might need changing. I don't think vent/leave is the issue.
The air/con ducts can get a buildup of '****' in them. The dealer will charge a lot to fix this.Get some Glen 20(anti-bacterial spray) and with the vents in recirculating cycle, spray it in the inlet vents under the dash in the footwell area. Also get a spray called odour-off.Use this also. For about 10 dollars you can fix the problem. It works. The smoke coming out is usually condensation mist and nothing to worry about.Hope this helps
I believe the problem you have is a leaking heatercore, I have not done one on a Blazer- Jimmy but will get to do it soon to mine ( 1998 Jimmy )it looks to me as though you have to access this from under the dash and inside the truck. If your more of a large type, like me, you might want to concider having your local mechanic do it as working under the dash and upsidedown could be a little uncomfortable. Hope this helps.
