SOURCE: 2005 F350 DIESEL,WAS RUNNING,SHUT IT SHUT OFF,WON,T START

first check the oil and see if it is full. the injectors are fired by oil pressure so check those things first.

oh ok this is simple u need to put a new fuel filter on there it has a bad fuel filter on there try that out if not it is the fuel pump but try the fuel filter after that and the fuel pump if it still has a problem it is the gauge and try to put mid grade cause it causes less break downs for your car cause it doesnt mess up ur fuel filter

does the engine crank? but just not start up? if so see if the oil pressure sending unit was disconnected during the oil change.

SOURCE: 2009 HHR won't start. Battery is good.

Is the security light on or blinking? If not then do you have power to the starter. You can check this with a test light. You should have power when you turn the key to start. The test light should light up.Should be the small wire.I believe it is purple in color. If the security light is on then you will have to get the codes to see what is causing the no start.Hope this helps.Good luck.

SOURCE: I've spoken to several mechanics on my Explorer. I lost oil pressure and drove it home from work around 30 miles, it started knocking really bad. I had just changed the oil, they are stating I wou

Yes, I agree. Overhaul, or new engine time. Loud knocking indicates your crankshaft bearings are toast-it won't be long before a piston rod goes through the block, or the engine siezes up. Overhauling an engine with a bad knocking means a complete teardown and rebuild-very time-consuming, labor intensive, and very, very expensive. You might want to consider a used replacement engine with low miles as a cheaper alternative. Good luck.

I have a 1991 GMC jimmy. Run fine until I pulled

sounds like the fuel pump is bad. check the fuel pressure with a gage is should be 35lbs. if it still won`t start now have someone try to start it while you hit the fuel tank bottom with something if it starts the pump is no good.

Had an oil leak- not major but there for a couple of years. Replaced a starter and after a few days of being just fine but not checking oil, it started with terrible grinding, drove home 2 miles with no...

Have you checked the oil level on your dipstick? You say you had a slight oil leak... but you DID maintain the oil level, right? In other words, you realized oil was coming out so you replaced the oil that had leaked out every now and again? You may have a shot crankshaft bearing, could be a chunked flywheel, or even a defective starter. My guess? New starter engaged but got stuck. The grinding you heard was the flywheel tearing the teeth off of the starter as you drove. You got it home, tried to start it, but there were no teeth left on the starter. Pull the starter... I'll bet it looks like a trainwreck. I doubt you siezed you engine though, especially if it was running when you shut it off.

My 2009 ford focus starts sputtering sometimes while idleing or not moving but on. But doesnt turn off randomly by itself. And it started an afternoon after an oil change about a few months ago. whats...

Tire issue is due to improper camber angle, needs to have a front-end alignment done. The sputtering after an oil change could be due to whoever changed it didn't put the proper grade of oil in. Other possibilities could be bad gas, fuel filter however that doesn't make since seeing how it happened after an oil change. So check to make sure oil level is not overfilled, and the filter is inserted correct.
