The glow plugs have a rail/wire that joins /links all of them that rail receives 12volts across it ,check that it is not touching against any metal earth surface ,if it seems to be fine disconnect the power wire to the rail and insulate wire .Then refit fuse and turn on key ,if the fuse blows you know that there is a short in the wiring going to the glow plugs ,if the fuse does not blow it is highly likely that one of the glow plugs has shorted and needs replacing

You need to change your fan blower resistor. About $80 on ebay. May be able to find one at a local salvage yard.

K2500 Suburban with. 6.5 Diesel and the instrument fuse keeps blowing when I turn the key to the on position. When I disconnected the glow plug relay the fuse did not blow. Also while running with th

did u replace the relay just a curious question, sometimes they have rust and water in the inside of the relay but my guess would be that you have a bare wire rubbing somewhere, causing the fuse to blow, anything significant has happened before that issue?

I'm fues to my fan keeps going out on my 2006 P.T

More than likely you have an internal fault either in the fan itself or the thermostat that activates it.

For a fuse to blow it has to have a lot higher than normal current draw through it, which is normally refered to as a short. If the fuse blows almost immediately then I would suggest you unplug the fan, and see if the fuse blows with just the thermostat in the circuit. If it blows - replace the thermostat control. If it doesn't blow, plug in the fan and watch it. If it trys to start and then blows the fuse, replace the fan motor.

My 1995 powerstroke blows the fuse when the key is turned to the on position for the glow plug . I need help diagnosing this problem, thanks.

Well, there's not all that much that can go wrong with a glow plug circuit to cause it to blow a fuse. One or more shorted glow plugs will do it (unhook them and use a multimeter to measure resistance at each glow plug terminal to ground, zero or almost zero resistance will show the culprit), as will a pinched or bare wire between the relay and a glowplug.

The relay itself can also short out- check it while you're under there. You may have to unhook the wire that actuates the relay to get a correct reading. Turning the switch to the glowplug position with the relay unhooked will show you whether or not the wire from the switch to the relay is good.

Every time i turn the ignition on,, a 20amp fues blow out ..the car is not starting..it will turn over but not start... the fues is in the power distibutor box only

what is that fuse for? If it keeps blowing then it is an indication of a short cicuit in the part/cable/wire for the unit the fuse protects.
