The transmission may not be dropping in low gear. Manually shift the transmission into low when you come to a stop then shift to second and then 3. See it that works. Could have control valve problems.
If there is no visible leak outside in the engine compartment that might drip onto the exhaust mainfold to get drawn into the passenger cabin, the heater core is begining to leak inside in the heater plenum inside the passenger cabin..
Check for vacuum leaks and EGR operation - If no vac leaks, I'd bet it was the IAC-AAC Valve -(Idle air control/Aux.Air control) - It can sometimes be cleaned and lubricated, but it depends - I usually replace them when I have determined that to be the problem...Hope that helps or gives you a start point...
your accuator is faulty or solinoid in the trans it self try removing the pan and with chalk the tire and put on the emer. brake and see if you can see the accuator and put on a new filter and new fluid
