Runs fine 90% of the time but when it rains or is damp out misses very bad. Has new plugs and plugwires. After reading the cpu get error p1131 and error p1132 which is the 02 senser. Question is would the 02 senser make it miss fire. Being that it miss fires when its wet out side makes me think its the coil packs but i am no mechanic, any suggestions? TY
O2 senser actually detects the air and fuel mixture. thereby when the air is heavy the mixture become fuel heavy.
check the mass air flow meter. O2 senser actually detects the air and fuel mixture. thereby when the air is heavy the mixture become fuel heavy.

check for a problem in the injector wiring for that cylinder
check for corrosion in the connections
replace that injector control
injectors cause more misfires than plugs and associated electric do
try looking at the engine while its running at night. look for electrical sparks around the coil, dist cap, wires, etc. check for broken or missing ground wires. plug wires could also be bad
sound like ignition system getting wet.make sure long rubber seal below windshield cowl in place because rain water can run down winshield by the cowl get under hood damp ignition and electrical system check make sure long rubber seal in place not damaged or missing.
very common problem with your year model is missing inner fender not sure why but if one is missing good chance when it rains u are soaking the coil causeing it to arch and miss fire or arching at connection at the plugs and wires if ur missing a inner fender dont waste ur time replaceing plugs, wires, or coil tell u have replaced the inner fender
CHECK BELOW WINDSHIELD AND COWL THERE SHOULD BE A LARGE RUBBER SEAL BELOW THE COWL TO KEEP MOISTURE AND RAIN OUT IF THE SEAL MISSING YOU ARE GETTING WATER ON THE BACK SIDE OF THE ENGINE.
LEAKING BAD SPARK WIRES OR YOUR COIL PACK GETTING DAMP.IF YOU HAVE 3.0L ENGINE. COIL PACK ON BACK OF ENGINE.IF YOUR LOWER COWL SEAL IS MISSING WATER CAN RUN DOWN THE COWL WHERE SEAL SUPPOSE TO BE CAUSING WATER TO RUN BACK OF ENGINE DAMPING YOUR COIL AND WIRES.BAD PLUG WIRES WILL CAUSE PROBLEM WHEN IT RAINS.
well i would start buy geting the rain water of the top of motor so i would start at hood seal if bad but new hood seal in you may have to go to dealer for it then if the spash gard is missing under car i would replace it with new one then see if car hard to start next time it rain should have no water at top of motor can couse all typ of isuse hope this helps
cover the distributor cap with plastic and the high voltage coil.
with a damp environment, high voltage usually jumps to the nearest ground and would not go to the spark plug.
you can test this at night when it is damped and raining, at night, let some body start the car for you and you watch the engine compartment without light so that you can trace where the spark is jumping out.
