The only light that is on is the theft light.
Nothing else will work.
Any ideas?
We had this same problem with our Windstar. We confused our mechanic (whom changed the O2 sensor), then had to give up and send it to the dealership. They checked all the wiring, the brain box, the ignition, changed the fuel pump...
Turns out, it was the fuel filter.
On the anti-theft light: are you sure it's a functional anti-theft system? Apparently, although all windstars have the anti-theft light, most of them are just that: lights that flash when the car's off.

This means that your key is not being recogonized.Ethier the chip in the key is bad or the patts transciever at the lock cylinder. Do you have a spare key? If not you will have to get 2 new keyss cut and programmed.
SOURCE: Just change the ecm on my 2001 ford Windstar and
did you get the ecm flash programmed? newer vehicles require the ecm to be flash programmed before they are installed your dealer and some auto parts stores can do this for you it usually runs around $90.
