The door will not unlock with the remote, the key, by pulling up on the lock post, or by opening the door from the inside. The door can be opened from the inside, but not unlocked
Sounds like the link rod to the latch are jammed in the locked position by something inside the door or it came off. Any way, you have to remove the door panel to get access to it.

just finished tonight with the same problem on my 2000 ram, i cut the studs out with a drimel tool, and also the latch, with this out of the way the door opened easily,, have to replace bottom latch later . total time about 1 hour tigerhunting
