Hi, Engine light is intermittently on and my car is vibrating when I stop at traffic lights. Car is opposing me to drive more thatn 60mph. Is it something to do with timing belt?. One week back, I had my car inspected with hyundai and they told me that engine is perfect. After driving just 15 miles, my engine light is back on. I own 2003 hyundai sonata(73000 miles). Recently changed timing belt, brakes, tires. Has any one come across this problem?
Well, My engine light came on. I have an 03 4 cylinder sonata and we changed ignition coils, my car vibrates and was hesitating. disconnected battery to reset engine light/computer, and today my car died on me while going down the road. it starts and kills. and when it does run it sputters. i say most hyundais have similar probs.
Probably your valves, had same problem on my saturn.dealer couldnt find problem had to send for an expert from there assembly line in tennessee plant, was running on 3 valves. plus the cam was bad.
Well to tell you the truth with so many sensors you need to put the car on a scanner to fix the problem. You dont want to be changing part after part and not fix it,can get expensive.Get it scanned pay 40 to 70 dllrs get a report and you can change the part. But open you hood and look around it can even be a vacum line.Good luck.I can guide you thru changing the part.
