Ok 3 questions to answer:

1 yes the pump could be bad, but it is not likely.
2 yes it is in the oil pan.
3 yes you can change it without pulling the engine, though it is not easy.

Most common problem for your oil pressure reading to be going away, is the oil pressure sending unit(sensor) it is located next to the oil filter, check and replace if neccessary this sensor first and see if your oil pressure returns to normal. If not then you may have a pump problem. Hope this helps, let me know.

Where is oil filter located on Buick Verano 2012?

I suggest letting someone that already knows where the oil filter is do your oil change, If you cross thread it , it will not sit right and can create a leak. you could lose the whole motor that way.

2006 Mitsubishi Galant 2.4L engine..........What does a complete tune-up consist of?

It depends how far you want to go. usually a tune up consists of an oil change, oil filter included, air filter change, and tire check and rotation. But a tune up could also include spark plug check and replacement/upgrade, spark plug wire replacement/upgrade, coolant flush, or even a transmission flush. It all depends on how far you want to go

I have a 1988 Jeep Grand Wagoneer that seems to be losing oil pressure then dying. I just changed the oil and the levels are fine. Not sure where to start... any ideas?

if this just started when you changed the oil and filter, then it might be the filter,it did it in my 89 jeep so i changed the filter to another brand and my oil pressure came back to normal.so i would recomend and stp or k&n or wix filter.if that doesnt then start looking at the oil pressure sensor and wire lead.you could also use a mechanical oil pressure guage and check it that way to.

I know this may sound stupid...but can't find the transmission filter. Was driving car and kept losing gears (automatic). Got it home, fluid seems fine. Could it just be a plugged filter?

Sure but the filter is inside the transmission. ussally the pan on the bottom of the transmission needs to be removed and and filter is connected to the transmission inside this cover on the lowest point. If your not a regular mechanic ( work on cars for a living, day in and out) you should hire this work done by someone who does.

I have a 1992 cavalier that starts fine but loses

Replace the fuel filter, air filter and check the catalytic converter for any restrictions. Adding fuel injector cleaner into the gas tank to clean out the fuel system is a good thing to. The other thing to that would bring the engine back to life is to add a bottle of Marval Mystery Oil to the engine with the oil, this will free up and clean the oil journals and the oil pick up screen in the oil pan. Take note to try to add the Marval Mystery Oil around 1,000 miles before your oil and filter change and keep an key on the oil level every second day, since the Marvel oil is much thinner and will evaporate. Good luck and this should bring the engine back to life.

Losing oil somewhere - BMW 320i E36 (2001) Auto

U can keep driving, just make sure the oil always shows on the dipstick when u check it, if not then u can cause the engine to just freeze up from lack of lubrication.
