I have a 1994 honda civic LX. The car was running fine about 3days ago and I went out to start it nothing. Only thing I hear when I turn the key is click. It has a new battery and the alternator has been checked and good but I can get it running by popping the clutch and it will run and drive fine as long as I dont turn it off. then I have to pop the clutch again, what could be the problem?

This symptom is usually caused by a bad connection at one of the main battery cables. Will the car start with a jump?

SOURCE: honda civic wont start

You might have to change the spark plugs or at least have them cleaned.

Sounds like a starter problem, gently tap the starter while someone cranks the car.

SOURCE: My 97 Honda Civic runs good and up until now, no

Bypass the clutch switch. If the car starts then replace the switch.
If this will not work, then you need to troubleshoot the starter, from the fuse up to solenoid. Might be anything from a bad fuse, bad relay, bad solenoid, corroded starter copper contacts, or a bad starter. Hope this will help.

1994 camaro z28 electrical system dead

A couple of things can be the cause. You could have an issue with your battery connection, or your ignition switch is dead. Ignition switch issues tend to kill all the power to the car. They can go without warning. It's located on the driver's side on the steering column.

Starting problems

if this problem persists then you could check a few things on it, like on the times when its not even making a noise when trying to turn the key, use rubber/wooden object and tap the starter motor but not touching the contacts on the back. if this amkes it spring into life then it will be your starter motor if this does nothing then it will be a dodgy battery supply. does it also make like a screaching noise while trying to start? if so then definitely your starter motor

Car wont start

If you are getting spark to the plugs, (and assuming nothing has happened to screw up the timing of the spark), the only thing that would cause the car not to start is that you are not getting fuel into the cylinders. You can check this by squirting some ether into the air intake of the engine. You can get some start spray at an auto parts store.
