The FF is not a separate component. The fuel filter is part of the in tank fuel pump assembly in your vehicle.

The fuel filter is incorporated into the fuel pump module located inside the fuel tank. It is usually not servicable

its under the car just forward of the fuel tank

I have a 2002 Lesabre but suspect it is in the same vicinity. Look under the car, drivers side under the passenger door towards the middle of the car.

No a Plugged fuel filter would not cause more fuel consumption but would lead to damage to the injectors and the fuel pump, and is much cheeper than the fuel pump or injectors. And I believe you mean Flex plate broke? And I do believe you should check with the dealer this unit should have a 100,000 drive train warrenty and they should kick in on the transmisson.

Hello bilsher...The La Crosse does not have a serviceable fuel filter. It has a strainer that is located in the tank... but there is no maintenance required for the fuel system.
