How often should i change the plugs in a 2009 corolla

100,000 miles is factory recommendation-you should have no problem with that unless you notice it is not running smoothly, or gas mileage or power is way down.

I have a 2005 toyota avalon and had an engine code come up po356 which is cylinder f ing coil, replaced coil and still have same problem,115,000 miles on car and has never been tuned up.

Time for a tune up. At best it should have been done at 100,000. Replace the plugs and wires see if this solves the problem. For guidance in doing that I recommend the Haynes repair manual on the vehicle. It is available on line or at most Auto Parts stores.
