Ok ,Is there red LED lite in the car for the alarm system? if it's an after market alarm there could be a bypass switch under the drivers panel that you could of hit accidently that would put the system into a valet mode . this switch would put the system into a door lock and unlock mode only. So look under the driver's dash or side kick panel for a switch or button, you would need the car on to switch it back

SOURCE: Trouble changing tires for '99 Toyota Corolla

Sounds like the wheel is just rusted to the hub a little bit. Take all the lug nuts out exept for one. Leave the last one on about half way. Make sure the vehicle is sturdy on the jack you are using and that the car is park(or gear for manual) and have the emergancy brake set.. Now if you have a heavy dead blow hammer you can give the wheel a healthy wack from behind, or you can turn your back to the wheel and give it a donkey kick at the bottom of the wheel. The last lug will keep the wheel from flying off at you. Now dont be alarmed about the wheel not turning, if this is a front wheel you are trying to turn, you shouldnt be able to turn it becasue the car is either in gear or park. Good luck and let me know if it works out okay

SOURCE: where is reset button and how do you do it to

i have an 07 Toyota Tacoma and the tire exclamation light reset button is located on the dash board under the steering wheel. The button says "set". This is what it says to do in my pocket reference guide for my truck. It says "If tire pressure becomes critically low on any of the tires (including spare), indicator comes on. Pushing "(***)SET" button should not turn off the light. Correctly adjusting tire inflation will turn off the light after a few minutes. After replacing/rotating tire or wheels, push and hold (***)SET" button until the indicator blinks three times.
Hope this helps you

Dic reset for chevy equinox tire presure

If the light will not reset when tires are properly inflated then one of the sensors inside the tire is defective, they are battery powered and last about 3-5 years. A GM dealer can scan the system and ID the problem more accurately. In most cases it is just the sensor.

Tyre Pressure and ABS

By operating the tire pressure warning system reset switch, tire pressure warning system ECU can be set to issue a warning at an inflation pressure that corresponds with the type of tires.
Operate the tire pressure warning system reset switch only after the inflation pressures of all 4 tires have been adjusted on the vehicle.
To initialize the system, press and hold the tire pressure warning system reset switch for 3 seconds or longer with the power switch turned IG-ON. When starting the initialization, the tire pressure warning light blinks 3 times at 0.5 Hz.
During the initialization, the tire pressure warning system valve & transmitter measures the inflation
pressure of the tires, and registers the signals that are transmitted into the ECU at a frequency of 1 per
minute. The initialization process is completed when the signals from the tires have been received.
Once the tire pressure warning system reset switch has been pressed, do not turn the Ignition switch OFF for a few minutes.

The indicating symbol for tyre pressure remain ON on the dashboard. Can someone tell me why?

I can't say for sure about this model, but many of these systems use the wheel speed sensors in the anti-lock braking system. It is assumed that tire diameter is proportional to tire pressure, and an under-inflated tire has to turn faster than the one on the other side to keep up. If the tread on one tire has extra wear from prolonged under-inflation, it will always be tagged as under-inflated.

Also, it may take a few miles for the system to recalibrate after the tires are topped off. If there is a problem with an ABS sensor, that would also affect the pressure measurement.

A trouble light goes on with an exclamation point in the middle of it, but it goes off and on. why?

That is the low tire pressure indicator. Inflate the tires to the proper inflation pressure, press the reset button until it blinks 3 times, and then drive it 20 miles to let the computer re-learn the correct pressures. The system works via RPMs, to determine the actual tire pressures.

Later models actually measure the air inflation pressure.

How do I reset the low tire indicator light on a 2008 Corolla? I've already properly inflated the tires. According to the manual it's supposed to automatically reset a few minutes after proper inflation.

Have any of the tires been replaced recently? If so get the sensors checked for a dead sensor. If you have a dead sensor, blame it on your tire guy. They destroy them with unfortuante regularity.

...Just make sure that when you check the tires, use an accurate gauge. The tire pumps at service stations are not accurate, and the pen-looking things to check tire pressures are not accurate either.

Tire pressure light is on even though all tires are inflated prop

You can reset the TPMS system on your Toyota Highlander. There are instructions in the owner's manual on how to do so. However, resetting the system without checking the cold-air inflation of the tires is not necessarily solving the problem. The recommended tire pressure inflation sticker is located on the driver-side door frame. On the Highlander, it calls for 30 pounds per square inch (psi) of tire pressure per tire, including the full-sized spare. If the Highlander had a donut spare tire, it will not have a TPMS sensor and subsequently will not effect the TPMS system one way or the other. To reset the TPMS system in the Highlander, there is a reset button under the driver-side dashboard that needs to be held for a period of time (a few seconds) while the ignition key is in the "key-on/engine-off" mode. The TPMS warning light will blink rapidly for a few more seconds, and the system will reset itself. Refer to the manual for the exact procedure. If the TPMS warning light reoccurs, have the system or tires checked by a professional. Good luck and hope this helps, keep me posted. Be glad to help.
