Engine iddle speed need adjusting

I have a 2003 Toyota Avalon XLS with a V6 engine. The engine starts but cut off when I remove my foot form the gas. How do I adjust the iddle speed?

You cant adjust it. Your car has a tps sensor " throttle position sensor " and a iac idle air control. these are both on the throttle body. is the check engine light on? The best way to check them is on a scanner at places like auto zone they will let you use one for free. and will help you do it. first check the codes if any then look at live data scroll down till you see tps and look at its values rev the motor up and it should change values are 0% to 100% no throttle to full throttle. at idle it should be 18 to 26 or so. if it doesnt change or its at a high number and no gas is being given then its bad. also look at the iac and see if it changes as well. you can also google the resistence values for each and ohm them out. It does sound like a bad tps. try that first , and the tps is easy to change

2003 Toyota Avalon xls model all lights and dials on instrument panel go off and engine stops when I go over bumps. I wait 2 minutes and car starts up again and runs fine until I go over bumps again.

The very first thing I would check would be if the battery cables are clean and tight. After that I'd lean towards a bad ignition switch. Do you have a ton of keys on your keyring? wiggle your key while its on to see if you can recreate the problem.

How to replace an engine belt for avalon V6 engine

There would be a tensioner pulley which you would move to release tension on the belt. The pulley is spring-loaded to keep the belt tight.

Almost certainly one or more of the drive belts (not the timing belt) on the engine needs an increase in tension. It may tell you about this in the owner's handbook.

If not you can either ask a mechanic to do this straightforward job for you, or try it yourself. You can download a zipped service manual from here

and look these belts up in the charging section and steering section.

My 2004 Toyota Avalon XLS will not start. The

The first thing to do is try another key. Perhaps your transponder key has failed.
You can identify a 'transponder key'; it has a wide part wher you turn it.

Smelling Gas from inside my 2000 Toyota Avalon XLS

the smell of gasoline in the drivers area is a very serious thing.
theres a good chance you have a fuel leak on the engine which could ignite and put you in dire straights.
open the hood and remove the air cleaner, then start the engine and inspect for any fuel leakage.
listen for any popping noises in the engine compartment, if its popping you may have a blown exhaust manifould gasket, you would get gas fumes from this also.
check these items out and let me know
good luck and would appreciate your feedback.
thanks
