Usually when that is case you need to look for a dimmer roller which is usually to the left of the steering wheel. If it was rolled all the way beyond the brightest setting it turns the interior lights on regardless of whether the car is on or not
Check power connections, make sure none of the power connections to the fuse board are damaged, make sure the fuses are in the correct ports and that you used the correct fuses, check the main lights controller unit (usually a dimmer unit) it may be damaged.
Is the clock showing the correct time? If not,the memory was dumped and the clock/radio must be re-coded to work, again. If the battery light is ON,the main 100 AMP fuse is blown.it won't charge the battery. Interior light? probably a blown fuse.
You shorted the interior lamps/or it is burned out. get the car manual and look for where the interior lamp fuse is located to check if its the fuse. IF all the courtesy lights on your doors are working, then your dome light bulb is burnt, check modifiedlife.com for the correct size bulb and order it from an online automotive lighting store for a fancy color or go to your local auto store for the standard bulbs they have available.
The interior map lamps are powered buy the battery saver relay ( non serviceable relay ) Which is powered by Fuse #25 ( cab fuse panel ). This is for the engine compartment and illuminated vanity lamps, as well as the map lights.
The FET ( Field-Effect Transistor ) shows the fuse #9 also on it. ( marked interior lighting ), which power the interior lamps ( door / switch ).
Could be a few things if both those fuses are OK.
1. The map / interior lamp combos are usually dual element bulbs, which means if the interior lamps ( door or dimer switch on headlamp panel ) are OK, it could still be a burn out bulb.
2. The FET is having an issue from a dead short ( blown bulb or dead short to ground ). Until the short is correct, the FET will not turn back on.
Start with checking Fuse #9 ( marked as Fuse #8 in the diagram, but that shows headlamp ), which is to the interior lamps, and drives 1 side of the FET.
The most likely culprit is a door switch. The buttons may push in and out, but that doesn't mean they're working correctly. You have to test them by removing them and making sure the contacts are breaking when the button is pushed in
