Possible to upgrade vehicle GPS system?

I recently purchased a Toyota Highlander with your GPS system. It works fine, but appears to be a model lower than our Garmin. Your system indicates the approaching street by distance, but I would like to have a system which names the streets. It is much easier to handle, especially in unfamiliar urban settings where streets are close together.

Is it possible for me to purchase an upgrade to your system in my 2008 Toyota Highlander?

Thank you for your help.

SOURCE: 19" FACTORY TOYO TIRES SHREDDING

Toyo®, Exclusive Tire of 2008 Toyota Highlander Hybrid, Limited Grade
September 20, 2007– CYPRESS, CALIFORNIA – Toyo Tire (U.S.A.) Corporation announced today that the Toyo® Open Country® A20 is the exclusive tire of Toyota’s all-new 2008 Highlander Hybrid, Limited grade. In addition, the Open Country® A20 is original equipment on several other models of the 2008 Toyota Highlander, both hybrid and gas.

The Open Country A20 achieved exceptional low rolling resistance performance making it ideal for the hybrid model. The tires were also specifically designed to reduce noise and improve both wet and dry braking for added safety.

Based on the model and trim level of the Highlander, the Open Country A20 comes in two sizes: P245/65R17 105S and P245/55R19 103S.

Toyo manufactures and distributes a complete line of replacement tires for high performance cars, luxury vehicles, light trucks and SUVs as well as tires for commercial trucks, buses and off-road and construction applications.

I'm surprised if it's so good at braking that it has not ripped my entire tire tread off as technicians say the treat is separating well before its time!

SOURCE: I just had a few warning lights come on in my 08

Hello. Those three lights are all designed to illuminate when you have an issue with the electronic sensors on the engine. To properly identify the reason for the lights being on, you will need to get your vehicle hooked up to a scan-tool. AutoZone provides this service for free. Get the car scanned, and get the codes stored in the memory of the car's computer back to us for further assistance.

SOURCE: I have a 2006 Toyota

My 2004 v6 2wd highlander has the same battery, and I am just now replacing it. What is that 7 years? I found via google that it has 550 CCA. I think it would have lasted longer if not for kids leaving lights on every few weeks and an unusually cold winter for this far south.

Testimonial: "I checked my electrolyte levels in the battery and added some distilled water and I feel like I'm ready for another 2 yrs on this battery. Tks 4 fdbk"

How do I fix my 2008 Toyota Highlander? It doesn't start and gives me the Check VSC System and Check Hybrid System warnings.

There are a few possible reasons why your 2008 Toyota Highlander won't start and has the "Check VSC System" and "Check Hybrid System" warnings:
Battery problem: The battery may not have enough strength or power to start the car. A qualified technician should test the battery to ensure it supplies the correct voltage and amperage.
Problem with the hybrid system: The hybrid system could be experiencing issues, such as a broken inverter or a weak battery.
Vehicle stability control (VSC) system issue: The VSC system could be experiencing problems, such as faulty sensors or brake system issues.
Fuel system issue: A vacuum could be created by the gas cap's improper seal.

Other issues: The vehicle may have issues such as a problem with the starter, the alternator, or the ignition switch.

It's best to have a professional technician diagnose the issue, and they will be able to identify the specific cause of the problem and make the necessary repairs.
If the vehicle has been sitting for several months, there might be other issues that could have arisen due to the lack of use. It's best to have a complete checkup and service before driving the vehicle again.

Anyone know the freon capacity for a 2013 Toyota Highlander(Base Model) V6

The freon capacity for a 2013 Toyota Highlander with a V6 engine will depend on the type of refrigerant that the vehicle uses. The base model of the 2013 Toyota Highlander typically uses either R-134a or R-1234yf refrigerant. If your vehicle uses R-134a, the freon capacity is approximately 21.7 ounces or 630 grams. If your vehicle uses R-1234yf, the freon capacity is approximately 22.5 ounces or 640 grams. It is important to use the correct type and amount of refrigerant in your vehicle's air conditioning system to ensure that it functions properly. If you are unsure which type of refrigerant your vehicle uses or how much is required, it is recommended that you consult a Toyota dealership or a professional mechanic for assistance.

Clock slow in 2005 highlander

This can be very frustrating, I know. Problem is that the clocks in later model vehicles are electronic. A low battery is not likely your problem. These clocks will operate correctly as long as your electrical system has the output of a flashlight battery, or even less.

I recently had the same problem with my new Silverado truck. It would lose about 4 minutes a month and it aggravated my to death trying to change it all the time. I replaced my radio with built-in clock and it works fine.

Not to say that you should go through such extreme measures, but it is sure nice to see the correct time.

What 2014 highlander problems have been found so far?

My navigation did not re-calculate the route, when I missed a turn.
I went to the dealer, they said it is working fine. I said all GPS re-calculate the route when one miss a turn. They argued that nothing they can do about it. All Toyota navigation work the same.

I just recently purchased a 2010 Toyota Highlander Hybrid (2 months ago). Toyota says there is noproblem with this model accelerating unexpectedly and sticking. It now seems to be happening yo Toyota Pruis...

Both toyota prius accelerator cases that I know of have been reported as flukes. the accellaration procces for the fuel and the hybrid models are completely different. plus the sticky pedal finding is a buy product from intense study from camry and the lexus version of camrys unattended excellaration probem, the sticky pedal will just not let of gas properly and also to be extremely rare not accelerating. Plus the hybrid versions are made in japan and if the did have the same pedal as a gas it would be made by denso the japanese pedal manufacturer, that has a heavier pedal it even has two more bolts compared to the american manufactured pedal that has been recalled. I personally build the highlander fuel version in Indiana It is an excellent vehicle i aswell own a 2010 that me an my family love youve got a great vehicle dont let abusers of a problem scare you of it.

2002 Toyota highlander passenger brake light not working

RE: 2002 Toyota Highlander 2.4cyl. 4X4 Base Model

I am a Certified Technician and have basic knowledge with electronics in electrical wiring. I searched the web and discovered this is a common problem.

I fixed the problem and it was a simple procedure... The problem is with the reverse light socket at the side with no brake light. This socket functions as a hub to direct current to the brake bulbs.

Remove reverse light socket and re-seat bulb. Check for loose or broken prongs. Replace if necessary.

Swap the reverse socket with the other side.
