Rick is correct in his answer but the suspected spots are the oil cooler hoses from the radiator back to the oil filter adapter the pressure switch on the adapter and since you say both sides it should be the oil cooler lines good luck and powder up the lines and fittings and have someone else start the engine while your looking for the leak
The oil light indicates low oil PRESSURE, not oil VOLUME. BUT, I have had an oil pressure sending unit go bad on me before, indicating low oil pressure while in fact oil pressure was fine. If your oil fill cap (where oil is added to engine) is on a valve cover, remove cap while engine is running. If you get an oil mist or oil spray out of it, or if you can see oil spraying when looking down hole (use a flashlight), then you have oil pressure, and the oil light sending unit probably is bad and needs replacing.
This is probably the oil pressure switch (or pressure sender,if you have an oil pressure guage). Two of my Chrysler products have done this.Replace the sensor, and if it's not too hard to get at,take the connector apart and clean it(or clean it out with spray silcone).
LOW OIL PRESSURE WILL CAUSE OIL PRESSURE SWITCH OR SENDING UNIT TO DISABLE FUEL PUMP.CHECK FOR OIL PRESSURE.REMOVE OIL PRESSURE SENDING UNIT SCREW IN OIL PRESSURE GAUGE TESTER INTO BLOCK WHERE OIL PRESSURE SENDING UNIT GOES TURN ENGINE OVER CHECK FOR OIL PRESSURE SHOULD BE 18 PSI @ 2000 RPM. BESURE TO WRAP TEFLON PLUMBERS TAPE AROUND THREADS TO THE OIL GAUGE PRESSURE TESTER OIL WILL SPRAY EVERY WHERE.IF YOU ARE GETTING NO OIL PRESSURE.YOUR OIL PUMP FAULTY.YOUR ENGINE CRANKSHAFT BEARINGS WORN OUT.WORN DAMAGED CAMSHAFT OIL PUMP DRIVE GEAR OR OIL PUMP DRIVE ROD DAMAGED OR BROKEN. IF OIL PRESSURE OKAY OIL PRESSURE SENDING UNIT IS BAD.
One of two possibilities - Check for loose wires at oil pressure sending unit (switch that is screwed into block) If wires are tight, unscrew oil pressure switch and spray clean it with carb cleaner (the bottom part that screws into engine)
It is quite possible that the Oil pressure guage is faulty or else with a zero reading of the oil pressure the engine would have packed out. So removing the valve door will confirm if there is oil flow and confirm the guage. You can also remove the line to the guage and connect the line to a bottle, when the engine starts up the oil pressure will be displayed with a good pressure spray.... but be careful not be spray it all over with a loose joint.
no, its not a filter issue. Most likely a fuel pump issue. Spray brake cleaner to see ifit will run while spraying sparingly. If it keeps running then the fuel pump failed.
The oil pressure release valve is located behind a large 3/4 lug on the oil pump, if you raise your vehicle and locate the oil filter, look up and to the right of the pressure sender switch, this nut should face to the rear of the of the car, undo it but have a cloth handy as oil will spill quite heavy from this once removed. Inside there will be a spring, remove the spring and to follow will be the valve, if the valve has a problem feed then you will have some trouble removing. Use a scribe to remove along with some (INOX) spray, spray it into the location and leave it for about 20 mins.
Thank you
