2001 Ford Windstar is leaking antifreeze

My Windstar is leaking antifreeze. The hoses appear dry that I see at the reservoir, but if you look under the car you can see dripping. What am I missing?

Temp gauge doesn't run hot.

Could be water pump, radiator, freeze plugs, hoses, ect. try and isolate the area by putting a piece of card board down on the ground and line up what is above it. Garages use a pressure tester on the cooling system to see where the leak is. I would guess water pump,or small bypass hose

I have engine coolant running out of the nipple at the rear top of the expansion tank on my 03 windstar. What might be causing this. It begins within a minute or less after starting the cold engine. When I take the cap off the tank it stops. There is no turbulance in the tank when I remove the cap

Please check your radiator cap while engine is running. And still double check your temp guage.

Were is the power sterring pump located on a 2001 f0rd winstar

I'm not sure of engine litre size? Note the picture. The power steering reservoir is number 10. There has to be a hose from the reservoir to the pump and the pump is belt driven.

The pump should be under the hood, passenger side, a little lower than the level of reservoir, firewall side of engine.

if is a slow leak and you don't hear a load hissing is ok! replace any hose that you think needs replacement, on top of that check your radiator hoses for swelling ,if the car is leaking water each time you drive the car your risking the engine to blow a head gasket so I would fix the problem right away....

My ford windstar is leaking antifreeze fast, what could be the problem? and can i fix it

If the antifreeze is leaking fast, then the most probable cause can be a hole or split in one of the coolant hoses. It is also possible for the radiator or water pump to have a leak. If you cannot see the leak when you inspect under the hood, then you may have to take the vehicle to your service repair shop where they can lift the van on a hoist to inspect underneath and they can pressurize the system to locate the coolant leak..

How do you put brake fluid into a 2001 ford windstar?

I know it wasn't a very good engineering design, but the brake reservoir is up underneath the cowling for the windshield wipers on the drivers side. The fill cap is on top, and not easy to access. You will need a very flexible funnel (like a tranny funnel) or a small funnel you can add a piece of flexible hose to to reach the fill cap. You should never need to add brake fluid unless you have just replaced some brake pads or shoes. If the reservoir is low it would indicate your brakes are worn and need replacing soon, or there is a fluid leak in the system.

My 2001 ford F150 is leaking water from above the trans

First off, is this water or antifreeze? If it's water it could be coming from the heat/air conditioning. If it's antifreeze, it's probably either a heater hose or the back of the intake manifold.

Antifreeze leaking from the back of the engine. doesnt leak unless car is running on ford 2002 windstar

Sometimes you can rent tools from Autozone or Oreillys and get your money back when you return the tool.
What you want is a radiator pressure checker. With this tool you can pump up the system and the antifreeze will leak out of any hole or hose. You can do it on a cold engine and diagnose the leak safely. It can be something simple like a heater hose clamp or a leaking intake manifold.

My van is leeaking antifreeze

Raise the hood and look for the wet spot. It may be necessary to add coolant to replace what has leaked out already. You should be able to find a hole in a hose or the radiator. Replace whatever is necessary.
