Motor will start but it is hard to keep it at idle and the motor revs up and down cant seem to adjust it with the choke any help with this would greatly be appreciated

A bad Idle air control will cause this! your car will have abnormal idling. Highly fluctuating idling or sporadic stalling, You can remove the IAC and clean it with throttle body cleaner, It may be all carboned up, It is located on or near the throttle body. god-Bless! hope this helps you. This part regulates the air entering engine, if not enough vehicle will stall.

Gas pedal has a hard spot.

First try moving the the throttle cable by hand at the throttle body. If that is free, examine the other linkage components for binding.
If the throttle is still stuck is likely that the throttle valve is sticking in the bore.
Remove the intake hose from the air cleaner and see if it is gummed up in there. You can use some carb cleaner to clean it. Do this with the engine running and where smoke from the tail pipe won't upset your neighbors.
If it is not gummed up, then likely the throttle butterfly has worn the throat of the throttle body and is seating itself too tightly. Time for a new throttle body.
Good luck

1990 350 suburban keeps stalling when at stop lights seem to idle down then stall

clean your throttle body.
check for codes; you might have a map sensor problem, or your tps might have a dead spot. 9 times out of ten it is a dirty throttle body; the iac can't react fast enough to regulate air when the small gap adjustment of the throttle body gets contaminated with a tarry buildup.

Engine starts fine. Idle is fine. Step on throttle extreme sluggish then stall. How can I get it to the shop without a tow?

Well, if it keeps stalling every time you open the throttle, the only way you are going to get it to the shop without a tow is to get out and push it.

2006 Envoy stalling when idels and won't stay running

Clean your Throttle body and pay attention to the Idle Air Control (IAC) valve passageway to try to clean the IAC. A dirty or faulty IAC will cause your engine to stall at idle, the job of the IAC is to open the passage way through the throttle body to regulate the amount of air to enter the engine to keep it from stalling when the Envoy is at idle.

Start with the simple and clean the throttle body and inspect any loose or damaged wire leads to the throttle body. Replace or repair any signs of damage.

Thank you for using Fixya and good luck.

1995 neon stalling intermitinly when deacelerating

Is it stalling at idle, or while driving? Have you performed a Throttle Body Service? The Tps usually wouldn't cause a stalling problem at idle, and it would generally throw a check engine light. The Idle air control valve, on the other hand, could be clogged full of carbon and not allowing any or enough airflow through to the enging. You should remove the throttle body, pull out the idle air control valve, and if it is dirty, clean thoroughly with any throttle body cleaner from a parts store.

My car drives itself, revs high when in park to point of stalling

Bad or dirty IAC( idle control Valve) Romve duct work from air cleaner. Spray throttle cleaner or carburator cleaner with car running at about 1000 -1200 rpms . Aim straight at the IAC inside the throat of the throttle body. It is to the side of the throttle body . Try to aim at the hole and spary 10 seconds into the throttle body. Turn of the engine and let it sit for a few minutes. Then repeat the process. If that does not work, replace the IAC.
