Pulled battery checked bad. Replaced battery doing same thing. Turn key get all the instrument lights, can hear hum (fuel system?). Finish turning key, all lights go out, car does not crank. Sound like bad starter? I looked at the battery connections as far as I can go and they look good. I don't know what fuses are associated with this system and couldn't tell a bad one any way. Thank you for any help you can give me.
Yes that hum is fuel pump fuses are easy get a 12 volt tester and most new fuses have 2 tabs on top check both sides of fuse should light up tester if not fuse is probably blown pull starter and try to test with jumper cables or take to Canadian tire they will test for free i9t sounds like starter is shorting system

Sounds either like the solenoid on the starter is bad or the starter its self.First try turning on your head lights and then trying to start it.If it starts then you have some bad connections either on the battery or the starter. next if that doesnt work Try hitting the starter with a hammer while someone else cranks it.If it starts then the starter is bad..

The starter sit on top I belive on the passenger side above the transmission, have some one hold the key to start while you tap or even hit the starter some time it will crank over if it does replace it, not that big of a job. If it still dont start there a big wire that one comes from the battery and a small one that come from you ignition switch ( key ) jump those two wire's ( if stander transmission make sure you have it out of gear ) there should be voltage at big wire all the time, if it still dont crank over replace starter assembly.Hope this was very helpful.
