Fuel filter We need to know where to locate the fuel filter under the hood. We found the one near the rear tire and replaced it but when son put gas in car it started fuel pressure like it wasn't getting gas.

I own a Mazda 2 2005. It is located near to the fuel tank. If you duck under the rear passenger tire you'll be in the right spot. It's a silver cylinder about 100mm long. Putting the car on ramps would make it easier to get to. It is the only thing to replace so long as you don't break the hose clips.

The fuel filter is probable located under the vehicle, look under the seating compartment on both sides, if you still don't see it trace the fuel line from the gas tank forward and you should run into it.

It's mounted to the frame rail under the car near the fuel tank. I wish they would put them under the hood like many used to!

if you have the digifant fuel system.fuel filter is located under the vechicle near the rear axle. the cis fuel system fuel filter is located under the hood on the fuel distributor.you have to remove air filter housing to get to it.besure to relieve fuel pressure before replacing fuel filter.if not gas will spray everywhere can cause fire.gas pressure is very high.

the air filter is in a box under the hood, the fuel filter is in the rear under the car, near the tank. If you dont know where they are located, you should not attempt to replace them, The air filter is easy enough, but the fuel filter requires special tools.

Follow the lines under the car from the fuel tank, if you don't see it somewhere along the lines near the rear half of the car, it does not have one. Many chrysler cars have changed to a screen in the gas tank which is changed with the fuel pump when it dies.

Philly, the fuel filter is attached to the frame in front of the gas tank, under the driver side of the car. You must relieve the pressure in the fuel line before you start, and it is also recommended that you disconnect the neg. battery cable. After disconnecting the neg. cable, remove the gas cap. Next, look under the hood on the fuel rail for a shrader valve (like the type on a bicycle tire). Place a rag under the valve, remove the cap, and press the valve in with a plastic pen to relieve the pressure in the line. You can now go under the car to remove the filter. You can disconnect the fuel lines easily with an inexpensive plastic disk made for this purpose (only a few $ for several sizes at a parts store). Be careful of fuel in the line that will drain out, no smoking or sparks during this procedure. Should be 1 bolt securing filter to frame. Note arrow on new filter, and install in the correct direction. Replace cap on shrader valve, put gas cap back on, reconnect battery cable. The low coolant light is probably a faulty sensor signaling that it's low, when it's actually ok. Look for wires coming from the reservoir bottle, you should be able to find the sensor at the end of the wires to replace it. If you change the fuel filter in a garage, leave the door open for air circulation, gas fumes can explode easily, having the door open will help dissipate the fumes.

Have a look on passenger side under hood near strut/shock mount

should be under the vehice, near fue tank, if not then check under the hood near the rear of the engine (drivers side)
