Are you over filling and is your gas cap tighten fully to where if it is loose it will throw a code.Your fuelsystem is pressurize and if your fuel cap is loose it will not perform correctly..Or if your over filling the tank that could also cause that problem..

Ok so that wasn't it. Three days later problem came back. Replaced battery cables. Problem goes away for another few days. Came back again and found what I think is finally it. Engine Cut Out Relay in the power distribution box. (of note the expert told me there were no relays in the ignition system) Although the local auto parts store's computer said they did not carry this relay, I took it in anyway and they matched it up with one off the shelf. $7.50 and I am running good as new. Hope this helps some of the rest of you. Also, the wiring schematic in the back of the Haynes manual was also an invaluable assist on this one.

SOURCE: Car won't start . Clicking noise wen key is turned
It's your starter. Find location of your starter. By the flywheel. Then. Bang on it . Your car will start. You still need to replace the starter.
try another key it sounds like the imoblizer
