1997 jeep grand cherokee front windows not working, rear working fine

  • Anonymous May 11, 2010

Have you tried all window switches? If so try to isolate which one is not functioning and replace it. They are notorious for going bad. Hope this helps!

In that jeep you have the two modules in the front doors (driver door module DDM and passenger door module PDM). They both are energized through a circuit breaker. Chech the breaker as a first step. It is located in the fuse panel named K. The fuse panel has only two circuit breakers, check the one that is located above the other one. The fuse panel is located on the kick panel on the passenger side, just ahead of the hinge, inside the vehicle you will see it has a piece of plastic as a little door you can grab and pull to expose the fuses.

The front propshaft on my full time 4 wheel drive 94 Grand Cherokee was vibrating badly years ago so I removed it and my Jeep has driven just fine without it since, no vibrations.Doesn't seem to cause any harm that I know of.
