Stock car?
or modified with remote start (bad)

ever do a tune up this decade or every 60k miles>?
you placed your hand on the starter casing>?
the engine runs at up to 200F hot. and the starter is bolted to the
engine and will go to about 150F, that is hot, and normal.
in Alaska, less on starter, but same for coolant.(inside)_

it stall, stalls are complex but i can reduce it to a physics, answer.
1: engine lost compression or cant pump air (its an air pump)
2: lost spark (that tune up waiting. a voice calling , tune me up)
3: bad fueling, too much called flooding or starvation.
4: idle controls failed.

why not start car and drive off, the engine will last 2 times longer.

SOURCE: Honda Orthia 1996 GX Automatic. Car don't start.

check engine light? check oil level, low oil possible engine damage.is there gas in tank?guages can lie, add a gallon if not sure. when key is turned on, not all the way to start, can you hear the fuel pump, an electric motor sound? have someone listen above the tank with trunk open or listen under tank. past this, check if spark plugs are working, remove a plug, put wire back on, rest plug on metal to ground, turn motor and check for spark. please rate answer.

Testimonial: "Thanks for the Help. Oil was in the minimal.... Hope the engine still ok. Check all the rest and everything is fine. Talk with the Honda representative and he thinks is the ignition coil????? He is coming next week to have a look... If I don't manage to fix it over the weekend. Cheers :-)"

slow starting could be a number of things. If the batters is good, it might be the starter itself. If the starter is hot after trying to start, I would replace

My car wouldnt start and i m wondering if its the battery or electrical.

I suspect that the battery was boiling from uncontrolled charge rate. Have the battery load tested and have the alternator charge rate checked.

My 1999 Mountianeer will start first thing but after i drive it it wont start again till i wait a day or so...any suggestions?

sounds as if you have a bad starter soleniod, starts when its cool, but when gets hot (warmed up) it does'nt allow enogh voltage to start, does it just click when you try to start it back after you've drove it? does it have any other noticeable problems while your driving? if this is the case, and no other problems, then solenoid is most likely your problem. or also check to make sure the starter is not loose, these model's have a tendency for bolts to back out of the starter making it seem as if there's another problem. I would check to make sure the starter bolts arent loose first

Intermitant not starting

could be starter or may be fuel pump. would look at these things first. can have a pressure test placed on car without car running.. no or weak pressure would indicate fuel pump needing to be replaced and alot of times if the starter is going bad the car will not start after it is hot and after it cools it will. check these out first.....hope this helps and good luck

I have a 1995 isuzu trooper awhile ago my car wouldnt start cause i hit the alarm switch i thought i left it alone for awhile and it started. so today i went out to a store and went to start my car back...

Have the starter solenoid checked. With a continuity tester check if the positive terminal on the solenoid receives a signal when the switch is turned. If it doesn't then the switch is at fault.

I have a 1990bmw 325i. i turned the car off one day. ran in the store. ten minutes later came out and the car wouldnt start. left the car. came back thirty minutes later the car started. drove the car 25...

Car not starting or turning over indicates towards multiple possibilities. It can be issue with battery or weak battery. But if battery checks out ok, then it can be starter issue or faulty alternator or problem with low fuel pressure or no spark at spark plugs due to dirty spark plugs or faulty ignition coil or injectors getting cracked or dirty and needs to be cleaned.

To confirm the problem, the basic troubleshooting is required.

New Alternater will not charge batery

When you touch the hot wire to the manifold you may have damaged your alternator. Take your Blazer to your local car service center such as Advance auto and have them run a test to make sure your rebuilt alternator is charging. Most centers will do this free of charge.

Some times it starts up just find ,the next time it don't want to

hello,
This could be a few things.
First i would check the fuel pressure, you could have a weak fuel pump or clogged fuel filter.
you could also have a bad temp sensor.there is two of them on your car.

the question I have is; does it do it when it's cold or warm?
you always want to start from the least to most expensive.
good luck
