2006 dodge ram 2500 heater not blowing hot air....

I got in my truck the other day and turned my heater on and it never got warm. AC works great, truck engine temp is normal but when i turn the heat on, the heater doesn't get warm. what might it be? Someone said it might be a heating coil, if so how do I check that, Price$$$ and could I install it?

How's your coolant level in rad? Check it when cold, remove cap & have a look. If low, start engine, turn heater on (not defrost) and add coolant directly to rad, until normal operating temperature reached & you see flow in rad from thermostat opening. Let it do that a couple of time to make sure level stays up then put cap back on and see what happens. Top up level in bottle after.

It sounds more like the thermostat, a thermostat will cost around 8 to 12 dollars, just remove the thermostat housing and replace the old thermostat then reinstall the housing

SOURCE: 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 diesel truck----need inside fuse box diagram

If you are looking for the fuse box diagrams or any other diagrams for your Ram, check promanuals.net for a factory service manual for around 20 bucks or so. It's an invaluable tool for my Ram 2500.

SOURCE: I have a 2006 Dodge ram 2500 diesel I can not get

First I thought it was the fuse panel or the power module but with our newer truck the computer told the power module not to send power to my A/C compressor b/c the A/C Clutch was out, (you can't replace just the clutch so I just had to replace the compressor and not the power module b/c the truck's computer told it not to send power this is the same with anything that goes wrong with the truck the computer tells it not to send the correct power to the part that is broken thus it seeming like the part isn't getting power, The power Module (fuse panel) is just doing its job replace whatever went out first or is bad, and the power will naturally be restored or you can go to your dealer and have the Power Module Flashed as they call it which resets it.

SOURCE: I'm looking for the port to recharge the AC 2006

Look for the larger A/C line that goes to your A/C compressor, you will find a port on it thats the one you use.

SOURCE: 2006 dodge ram 2500 a/c fuse rely

The AC relay is located in the under hood fuse box. The cover should have a legend for location. Its one of the bigger black ones. You can rotate it with the horn or ABS one to see if its the problem. You may have a small fuse also in that box for it. If this doesn't solve the problem then you either have a leak or a computer problem. What a shop will do is try with a bidirectional data scanner turn the AC on. If they can't get it to turn on with a scanner then you most likely have a failed PCM if they verified you do not have low pressure or a relay or wiring or switch issue.

2006 Dodge Ram 1500 with hemi. AC intermittently stops blowing

Sounds like the blower motor or the connection to it is failing.Next time it stops give the area below the glove compartment a good whack,if the blower does anything, change it.

The ac in my 2006 dodge 2500 gas engined truck does not blow cold when the engine is at idle. when running normal speeds the air gets cold

start by cleaning or replacing your in cabin air filter. check to see if your AC condenser fan is turning when the AC is turned on. Make sure the front of the radiator is not clogged with bugs, mud, etc. Check AC compressor relay-make sure the compressor clutch is turning the compressor with engine at idle. lastly check for proper refrigerant charge.

I have a 2006 Ram 2500 Diesel. My heater quit working. One minute it was blowing hot air, then next it was blowing cold air. Any ideas what this is or how to find out without spending an arm and a leg?

low coolant. disconnected or faulty servo to control difference between hot and cold or the heater core could be clogged. if it warms up when reving the engine then it is probably low coolant.

Air is cold but not blowing

sounds like a leaking heater core, that explains the liquid. and i 've done heater core jobs on a dodge ram and it is kinda costly, approx, 5 to 7 hours depends on whos doings it.
